Product Description There's nothing like the cheerful whistle of a tea kettle on the range to lift your spirits on a dreary winter's afternoon. Whether it's tea, cocoa, or mulled cider you've got planned you'll need the water piping hot.

Almost Exactly What I Wanted January 6, 2009 V. Priolo I searched and searched, bought and returned many whistling teakettles; however, they never served my purpose. What I sought, and got with the Revere, was a whistle that could be heard in the far reaches of the house. I have a habit of putting water on for tea and then going about my business and forgetting the water on the stove so the strength of the whistle was my first priority. As I use the kettle daily, I would say that the trigger mechanism does not seem sturdy enough; however, only time will tell. The extra cleaning steps needed to get to the interior are far outweighed by the whistle strength.

The Revere 3-1/2 qt. teakettle was a replacement for the one boiled dry. That one gave years of service and this one will too.
Just like my mom's December 26, 2008 Carolyn Felmly (Deerfield Ohio) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I remember my mother making my twin sister and me hot tea when we were little girls with a Revere Copper Bottom Teakettle just like this one. When I went online to Amazon.com and found it, I knew I had to buy it!
Good but fragile December 21, 2008 G. Johnson (Naples, FL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've lost 2 of these when people put cold water in the kettle while it is still hot. The bottom just bulges totally out of shape. I know, you're thinking 'just don't do that.' Otherwise I really like the kettle.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It's a good size, and has a GREAT whistle! I've tried other (cutesy) tea kettles, but I came back to Revere.
