Bingo with a Zing January 6, 2009 The Mommy Reviewer My four year old daughter received this game for Christmas and we've played it at least everyday since then. Zingo is a unique twist on Bingo that uses picture (and word) tiles instead of letters and numbers. One player is the dealer and calls out what the two tiles are (example: Panda, Cat) and the first person who has that picture on their card to call out "wins" that tile. This is where the game gets fun and in our case a little loud, with everyone calling out to try and get the tile before someone else. The first person who fills in their card and yells ZINGO wins. It's nice to have a lot of beginning reader words/pictures and the game cards are very sturdy and are two sided. The tile slider is easy to load -- even for kids. I hope that ThinkFun comes out with supplemental cards and tiles, as I could see that these tiles might get a little old after awhile. My four year old and my seven year old nieces really enjoy this game -- the older girls don't think it's a "baby" game and my four year old is recognizing words and is "reading" like her older cousins. ZINGO is a great addtion for family game night.
Utter, complete, total and absolute fun for adults and kids January 3, 2009 Jerry Saperstein (Evanston, IL USA) Two adults and two children, one 5, the other 3. Everyone could follow the simple rules: recognize the word or the shape on the two picture tiles ejected from the Zingo dispenser and, if they are on your card, call them out to get them. Call out a tile that's not on your card and you get a warning. Three warnings and you lose a tile. Even the 3 year old understood that. We had a lot of fun playing several rounds and the kids were still eager for more when bedtime came around. Overall, Zingo! is a lot of fun. We'll see how long the desire to play is on the kids part, but right now it's a hit - and I enjoy it as well. Jerry
LOVE IT December 30, 2008 Picky Shopper (Seattle, WA) Daughter is nearly 4 and WE love it. It is one game the entire family can play and you don't have to play down to her level. She beats us more than we beat her. It has really increased her memory skills and coordination!! This is a SIMPLE game that is great fun. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. After buying many disappointing toys...this one is a winner and especially for the price.
Yup, my kids loved it as much as the other reviewers children did... December 30, 2008 L. Gold (Ogden, Utah) Based on all the great reviews I had to buy this game for Christmas. I couldn't imagine it could be that amazing because it's really just Bingo. But my kids loved it and we have had so much fun with it! I always have to play it with my kids because they need help reloading the tiles. I'm lazy, I'd like them to do it themselves. But hey, it forces me to play the game with them and they love my involvement. Very fun.
Great Game!! December 28, 2008 S. Jones (Florida) I bought this for Christmas for my 4 and 5 year old boys. They love it! It's a very fun game that they can play over and over again! This will become one of our favorite games to play.
