Got this to replace an old hand mixer that stopped working. It works well and I like that it came with dough hooks. I've made cookies, cakes and bread dough with it and they turned out excellent. I like that you can adjust the speed at 10 different levels. Easy to clean. I've not had problems with the mix/batter splashing out - probably because I use a deep mixing bowl, and I start off on a low speed. It's a great mixer, and very handy for making cakes, whipping cream or egg whites, etc. Love it!

I owned a Farberware hand mixer that was just perfect. It was light, had multiple speeds, easy to use, powerful enough, and lasted for 20 years. When it finally died, I wanted a Farberware again and so bought this one. BUT....they don't make 'em like they used to! In a standard mixing bowl like I've always used, this mixer sent pudding flying all over my kitchen! I finally had to mix the pudding in the sink in order to contain the mess. I immediately packaged this back up and shipped it back, and will now look for a different brand. Maybe a Hamilton Beach, since I've been so happy with others of their products.
