Product Description Streamline food preparation with the powerful KitchenAid Food Grinder Attachment. It attaches to any KitchenAid mixer to grind meats, vegetables or dried bread for breadcrumbs. Includes coarse-grinding plates, stomper and wrench. Style #FGA. Carries KitchenAid's hassle-free total replacement warranty as well as a 1-year full warranty.
Amazon.com Review This tool increases the fun factor of your KitchenAid stand mixer several times over. Toss cubes of meat into the food tray, stomp 'em down, and watch the results wriggle out the front. Grind your own beef or chicken for patties or tacos. Blend your own sausage mixtures, from breakfast to boudin blanc. With additional attachments, you can turn it into a pasta maker or a sausage stuffer. It's easy to assemble and use. Most parts are dishwasher-safe; hand wash the grinding blades, wooden stomper, and cutting knife. --Betsy Danheim

Kitchen Aid Food Grinder May 8, 2008 Judith A. Pula (Pembroke,Massachusetts) I bought the KitchenAid Food Grinder because I bought my husband the Kitchen Aid Mixer and he loves hamburger but it has become so expensive and we try to eat the one with less fat. With the Kitchen Aid Grinder, we can watch for sales on all kinds of beef and grind it in the grinder and it is cheaper and absolutely delicious. We also make a sandwich which all my family loves. You ask the deli for a chunk of bologna 1/2 0r 1lb. (depends on how much you want) Then get a lg jar of polish spears or just some kind of dill pickles. Take the bologna and grind it, then take 1/2 jar of pickles for 1/2 lb bologna (1 jar for lb.) Grind the pickles into another bowl. Mix together with mayonaisse (we like Helmanns the best). Its up to you how much of the pickle juice you'll want if you wnat more flavor put some juice in, just try not to get it to wet. If you have or get a grinder I hope you'll try this. It sounds awful to people but once they taste it they usually get hooked. Again a great machine and I'm sure you can come up with some other recipes or ways to use it. If you do I'd love to have you share them with me. My email is: [...]
I love this attachment for my Kitchenaid April 5, 2008 J. Cox (North Texas) Easy to use. Pretty easy to clean up. Works great. Has several uses but I buy chuck roasts on sale then cut part for shish-kebabs and part in strips (faster and easier than chunks)to feed into the grinder (2x) for hamburgers, meatloaf etc. When I was checking reviews I read only a couple negatives from people who expected this to grind up anything/any size, like a commercial unit. Just treat it nicely and don't expect it to be what it isn't.
Great attachment April 5, 2008 David Parr (Maine) We needed a meat grinder and our old manual one was beyond safe use. Researched manufacturer's website, then on to Amazon to get reviews & price. Both were so good we ordered via overnight delivery. Works great -- my wife enjoyed her ground up roast beef with gherkins and mayo the next day! Excellent price, service, and easy process.
grind March 28, 2008 Barbara Brunermer (Spring Church, PA United States) It worked pretty well; however, I found it would bind if a little grisle went in with the meat. Cleaning the grisle from the hole plate was time consuming and not the easiest task I have completed. All-in-all, I would still buy this as it did it's job!
Best Valuable March 28, 2008 R. Gehen Bought this product to make sausage. I made 36 pounds of breakfast sausage the first time with no issues. It worked great but make sure you use small peices of meat when using this attachment.
