5 out of 5 stars Love this set!   July 5, 2008
Diane (Irwin, PA)
After reading the previous reviews, I have to disagree. I have had none of the issues mentioned previously, with regard to handle size, water in the handle or tipping of utensil from pan to floor. I would recommend these, and also have a couple of pieces in black. No problems at all. To each his own, I guess!

What were they thinking? Did they never actually TRY these utensils out after making them? The handles are so heavy that they constantly tip out of the pans if you tap them at all.

4 out of 5 stars Kitchen Aid Utensil Set   May 28, 2008

I really like this utensil set. The color is bold, not boring like most kitchenwares. The non-stick material is great, especially in combination with non-stick pans. I would however advise caution about the handles. The handles will melt if you leave them touching something warm, even for just a minute.

Very well made and very functional but the handles are big. This only matters if you are planning to store in a crock handles down.

2 out of 5 stars Like soapy soup?   October 11, 2007

Like other reviewers, I was attracted mainly by the red color, glossy finish and spiffy nameplate. I also have them in blue, for our kosher kitchen. Like other Kitchenaid utensils I've tried, such as the box grater, these utensils are all style and no substance. They're basically useless: extremely large, clunky, heavy and very poorly balanced. The spatula is so thick it makes turning pancakes into a comedy routine. I get better results with just a table knife. The ladle serves logger-sized portions of soup, and so on. My main beef however, is that when they go through the dishwasher, they appear to absorb dishwasher detergent, or at least the fragrance, which they then impart to the chicken soup or the omelette that you are preparing. For this reason, I'm really afraid to use them at this point.
