Product Description Love your KitchenAid Stand Mixer? Adding the RVSA Stand Mixer Rotor Slicer Shredder lets it do more - much more! Now you can slice and shred a variety of foods with this very helpful, handy accessory.
Amazon.com Review This attachment performs the cutting and shredding duties your food processor might: select the proper cone, slip it into the plastic housing, and attach all to your stand mixer's hub with a metal shaft. You can shred potatoes, onions, nuts, and chocolate, or slice vegetables for cooking or munching. While it adds versatility to your mixer, the unit is cumbersome to disassemble--more so than KitchenAid's other nifty attachments--and its several parts make it difficult to store. Still, it's easier on your arms than manual slicing and shredding, especially for large quantities, and all parts are dishwasher-safe. --Betsy Danheim

Love it! January 6, 2009 Terri R. (York, PA United States) This product increases the functionality of my Artisian Kitchaid mixer to a whole new level. It increases the ease and speed of which I can cook, and especially prepare vegetables, salads, and slaws.
SENT BACK January 5, 2009 David J. Nyberg (WARREN,PA.) I ORDERED THIS FOR A CHRISTMAS GIFT . WE USED IT THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS AND ALL IT DID WAS MAKE NOISE AND EVEN STALLED THE MIXER. THE METAL SHAFT WAS WEARING AND DRAGGING BAD WHERE IT WENT THROUGH THE SHREDDER HOUSING.TRYED TO LUBE WITH COOKING OIL AND THE SHAFT TURNED BLACK WITH METAL CHIPS.WE WERE DOING POTATO'S AND WITH THE COURSE SLICER AND IT CHIPPED THEM REALLY THIN AND MADE A MESS OUT OF THEM.NOT HAPPY AT ALL. REALLY BAD ATTACHMENT. SENT BACK.
Major time saver December 28, 2008 John Aughey (St. Louis, MO United States) It's a simple attachment, but it saves a lot of time. I really hate shredding cheese by hand. Moments before I ordered this, I shredded my knuckles for the last time on a hand grater. This came and I immediately wanted to shred something. We grabbed a block of cheese from Sams and started shredding. We took a freezer bag and shredded the whole block and kept the bag in the fridge to be used on whatever all week. What a convenience. We only shred once a week or so, but to have it so easy to do and the convenience of the on-hand bag of shredded cheese is very nice.
Kitchen Aid shredder/slicer December 1, 2008 Robert M. Richardson (Renton Wa.) The shredder/slicer is a GREAT attachment to the Kitchenaid stand mixer. It was just what I was looking for to help us in the kitchen! The price was way better than in the local stores that carries the mixers and accessories. They are selling for $60+, where Amazon has the same attachment for $40.00! The ONLY draw back was the cost of shipping, but it was still a bargain! Thank you Amazon! R Michael Richardson
rotoshredder October 1, 2008 Shade's mum (MA) The unit would be much better if the housing unit itself were made out of metal rather than plastic. This is my second time replacing the unit because of a crack in the plastic housing.
