Product Description 203-42 Fast Touch Coffee Grinder - Love your coffee? Here's a quick, easy, affordable way to increase your satisfaction when enjoying a cup of coffee. Grinding coffee directly before brewing helps preserve natural oils and flavors that are particular to the coffee bean. The result is a more sophisticated taste and aroma that you'll taste, smell, and feel. You're in the Coffee Zone. And that's what it's all about. Color - Black
Amazon.com Review Nothing beats a freshly ground, freshly brewed cuppa joe to start the day, and with this grinder, you can have up to 20 cups' worth of beans at a time. The understated black color and contemporary oval design fit in well with any kitchen décor, while the small size (just 6 inches high) doesn't take up too much premium counter space. Stainless-steel blades guarantee a long life and an even grind, whether you use this grinder for coffee, spices, nuts, or even whole grains. --Jill Lightner

Excellent Product October 8, 2008 Span-Unit (Florida) The Krups 203-70 Fast Touch Coffee Grinder has exceeded all my expectations. Before ordering, I did quite a bit of online research looking for something to use specifically as a spice grinder and wound up here. Amazon also has the lowest price, great service and low shipping cost. I placed my order online late Saturday afternoon and it was leaning against my front door the following Tuesday. That's hard to beat. Due to a recent medical condition, I've had to completely change my diet to a very low fat and under 2000 mg sodium daily diet, so I'm using herbs & spices like crazy and needed something that could not only combine a good mix of these, but turn them into a powder. The Krups 203-70 does exactly that... My first test was a teaspoon of whole fennel seeds ground continuously for about 8-seconds (shaking the Krups up and down so none would be lost under the blades) and a fine powder came out. So fine that static electricity made a good bit cling to the clear cup/lid.. like talc. The cup has a very smooth, non-textured finish that cleans easily. Instead of rinsing it under water, I just closed my eyes and 'puffed' into it.. all gone. Same to the blade area. Of course, some aroma remains inside and can't be rinsed away, but the next use will just absorb it and leave it's own. I'm not grinding anything with oils so I'm not expecting any discolorations, ransid oil odors or greasy residues that may also stain... none of that. The most surprising feature is how quiet this is. The only grinding, crunching, rattle noises are from what you put in it, like peppercorns. The motor on this is whisper quiet.. it's spooky . One thing though... the first time you start it make sure you're holding it with both hands. There's lot's of torque in that little engine. I'm using this exclusively for herbs & spices so there should be no strain at all on the motor and, hopefully, will last for years to come. I've had it now for almost 2 months and if it failed to work today, I'd buy the same model new again in a heartbeat. Cord length is about 24". Had to squeeze that in... It's hard to find a review that mentions the cord length on anything.
excellent for indian spices October 8, 2008 rashmi gotarne (sunnyvale , CA) i use this to grind roasted jeera (cumin seeds) , saunf (fennel seeds), almonds, dry red chillies , coriander seeds and other indian spices.... so far its giving good results... in INDIA we get dry grinders with our mixie... but here we dont get that, so i thought of buying this and give it a try. its too good for grinding spices. may be some day i will use it for coffee...
Krups Fast Touch Coffee Grinder October 6, 2008 Mrs. Tricia (MO, USA) Excellent product for anyone wishing to grind their own coffee. This is the 2nd one we have owned. The first one purchased over 18 years ago and still works, but the plastic cover cracked. Considering how often we have used it, I'm surprised it lasted that long. The only thing I wish is that it had a cleaning brush with it, in case one wanted grind spices and coffee. Would recommend to anyone.
Perfect September 24, 2008 L. Snow I love this coffee grinder. It is well designed. However, I have gone through 4 grinders in 6 years. The grinder is easily damaged when dropped, even a short distance (12 inches). I have not been able to get replacement parts. Which is why I have gone through 4 grinders in 6 years. This grinder does a great job, when handled with care. The other Krupps grinders seem to be appearance motivated than performance motivated.
Excellent selection. September 23, 2008 Richard C. Fremon (Allamuchy, NJ) The Krup coffee maker is an excellent selection. It does exactly what was advertised and the price was reaonable. I am delighted with it.
