Product Description For quickly blending soups, mixing beverages, and more, this immersion hand blender features a quiet, powerful motor and a sharp stainless-steel blade with a protective stainless-steel splashguard. For mixing all the way to the bottom of deep pots or pitchers, its durable snap-in attachment can be immersed as far down as 8 inches. The blender's speed-control dial offers variable speeds ranging from nine (high) to one (low), while its power button allows for one-touch starting and stopping. Two ejector buttons, one on either side of the blender body, provide simple attachment removal. Other convenient features include quick and easy assembly and storage, a 5-foot extra-long power cord, and a comfortable, ergonomic, non-slip grip. A 3-cup blending beaker and sealing lid are included. For simple clean up, all attachments and accessories are dishwasher safe and the smooth surface of the blender body is easy to wipe clean.

Well worth the price. June 15, 2008 Greebus (Oneonta, NY) Works really well in blending soup and frozen/fresh fruit smoothies. Well built and I'm confident that it will last unlike the cheapie I had that lasted only 6 months. Easy to clean and blending container is useful.
Hand blender June 2, 2008 Maria Makiling (Arlington, VA) Bought this for my husband, the grillmaster. He's been making his own barbecue sauces, and having problems with the chunky onions, peppers, and other ingredients. He likes it for ease of use and cleaning. Got the right consistency for his sauces. Works for us.
Excellent blender June 1, 2008 C. Duran Another great KitchenAid product. This immersion blender is quick, efficient and powerful. It's easy to clean, easy to use and feels solid and professional in your hand. Blended soups, spreads, dips, etc., are made quite easily and thoroughly with this machine. I can't think of anything negative to say to give a more balanced review. This is simply an excellent blender.
KitchenAid Hand Blender May 28, 2008 G. E. Diaz (Barnstable, MA) Well-made, easy to handle KitchenAid Hand Blender -- totally satisfactory. Easy to use, several speeds; easy and quick to separate motor section from blending section for washing under running water. Not too heavy as some have stated and not cumbersome. Since it separates in two parts as I stated above, I store in a kitchen drawer which takes little space. Blending super. Can't say anymore. Don't hesistate to purchase this quality product which lives up to KitchenAid quality.
essential kitchen tool May 3, 2008 Shasta (Ma) Hand immersion blenders can be an essential tool if it is made right. If it is easy to use, easy to clean and powerful it will quickly become your favorite thing to use in your kitchen. This IS just such essential kitchen tool!!! Since the blender part is detachable it makes it very easy to clean. And, the actual blender "stick" is not made of plastic it feels sturdy enough to do many tasks...however, not quite enough to crush ice. Frozen fruit in a smoothie is a snap...just do not overload! There is heft in the immersion blender so many tasks can be tackled! The only bad thing is the placement of the speed adjustments is on top of the stick so when you are adding stuff and need to adjust the speed you need to stop and use both hands...
