Amazon.com Review
This threesome of 9-ounce bottles is a great way to round out your Avent feeding system. Avent is known for its broad, soft, silicone nipple, which mimics the shape and feel of the breast—providing moms the flexibility to switch between bottle- and breastfeeding.

Avent nipple airflow
Avent's anti-vacuum skirt and one-way air valve help reduce colic.
The naturally shaped nipple has a built-in anti-vacuum skirt and one-way air valve to ensure that liquid, rather than air, flows through the nipple and reduces baby's chances of developing gas or colic. The bottles are a snap to assemble, can be reused, and their wide necks make them easy to clean and fill.

If you use the Avent Natural Feeding System, these 9-ounce bottles are fully interchangeable, allowing you to pump, store, and feed from the same bottle. Each bottle is made of durable, polycarbonate plastic and comes with a sealing cap to prevent leaks.

This three-pack of 9-ounce bottles is a great way to round out your Avent bottle system. The Avent system is known for its broad, soft, silicone nipple, which mimics the shape and feel of the breast and reduces a baby's chances of swallowing too much air and developing gas. The wide-neck bottles make it easy to clean and fill them, and each has its own sealing cap to prevent leaks. --Andrea Linsky

Product Description
More doctors recommend the Avent Reusable Bottle than any other brand. The reasons are clear: superior form and function, plus a clinically demonstrated, award-winning design. The patented Avent Reusable Bottle Nipple has a one-way air valve clinically demonstrated to reduce colic. Plus, the nipple's soft shape allows your baby to switch effortlessly from breast to bottle and back again.

Avent invented the now-popular wide-neck bottle, with an award-winning design that's easier to clean and hold than conventional bottles. Made of dense, durable polycarbonate plastic, these bottles hold up through repeated boiling, dishwasher and microwave use. Easy-to-read markings on the bottle ensure accurate mixing and feeding measurements. Each bottle also comes with a dome cap for spill-proof mixing and transporting. This set includes three 9-ounce Avent Reusable Bottles.

1 out of 5 stars Better BPA free alternatives available   September 4, 2008
JP (Los Angeles, CA)
From a functional standpoint, I have no complaints. The bottles never leaked on us and they're easy to clean because the openings are wide. However, I changed all our Avent bottles to non-BPA alternatives about a month ago. (BPA is a chemical that is used to make some clear plastic bottles that could be potentially harmful to your child. Although the FDA is still conducting research on this issue, my opinion is why take a chance on something that can be easily corrected. As parents, we have so many other things to worry about.) I blame myself for not doing more research prior to purchasing these. I was at Target the other day and saw a few AVENT sippy cups that were specifically advertised as BPA free. This annoyed me greatly. Does this indirectly imply that AVENT knows that BPA could be harmful, but continues to sell BPA products? AVENT has definitely violated my trust. I will not be spending any more money on AVENT products.

3 out of 5 stars They are okay.   September 3, 2008

My daughter liked bottles. We liked them, too, but they did leak sometimes, and they also have BPA in them. If I'm going to pay this much for any bottles, I want them to be BPA-free, or at least not leak. We just got Sassy Mam bottles which are almost the same price and BPA free, plus good for colicky symptoms as well. I also love the Playtex ventaire advanced bottles which are really good quality bottles and are also for less fussing, spitting up, gas, etc. and my daughter enjoys them too, but they are not BPA free either. We keep these only for back up bottles now. The avent bottles- we wound up tossing all of them completely. not really worth the price.

1 out of 5 stars Contains BPA -- TOXIC Substance!!!   August 11, 2008
Karen M. (Monroe, North Carolina)
BPA, a synthetic sex hormone that mimics estrogen, is used to make hard polycarbonate plastic. Ninety-five percent of all baby bottles on the market are made with bisphenol A. The results of the U.S. study show that, when new bottles are heated, those manufactured by Avent, Evenflo, Dr. Brown's and Disney/First Years leached between 4.7 - 8.3 parts per billion of bisphenol A.

Do your research, moms! There are lots of bottles out there that don't contain BPA. Trusted brands like Green to grow, Born Free, Adiri, and Thinkbaby.

3 out of 5 stars Leaky Bottles   July 7, 2008
S. Miller
I first used these bottles when my son was born two years ago. Like some of the other reviewers, I found that these bottles leaked. I had to tighten/untighten them all the time and although not all the seals leaked, many of them did. Now, with the BPA issue, I'm not using them at all with my new baby. I've purchased a different brand that doesn't leak, doesn't have BPA, and is also less expensive.

1 out of 5 stars stay away   July 5, 2008
S. Tsynkov (NC, USA)
Stay as far away from Avent feeding bottles as you can. This product is total junk, the bottles leak all the time. We have tried many, different sizes, different nipples, purchased at different stores and different times. They are all the same, they leak from under the lid no matter how tight you screw it on. Complete garbage.
