Product Description High-tech toasting technology gets a high-style look with this sleek stainless steel toaster featuring beautiful brushed chrome accents. The large, four-slice size is actually two toasters in one, with dual independent controls that let you perform two toasting jobs at once. Limited warranty. Model CPT-180.

The absolute worst kitchen appliance I own November 12, 2008 Amanda Malone (Houston, TX) This toaster is the pits. Like other reviews it seems to have a mind of it's own on toasting bread. Some times it burns it..some times it does not even toast it at all (always on the same setting). My favorite is when it toasts on one side and the other is soft and untoasted. Every time we use it I stand over it and say to myself "I have to get a new toaster". We have been looking at the Kitchenaid four slice..but $100 for a toaster? Hmmm...maybe toasted on one side isn't that bad after all.
Looks good but that's where it ends... October 15, 2008 Tom (San Francisco, CA USA) As others here have pointed out this toaster looks really good on the counter. It's too bad we have to use it. It toasts really uneven, burning one side while the other is partially toasted. You can look into it and see that one side barely lights up while the other is going strong. Again, our old drug store toaster that cost $19 worked much better.
good for only 18 months October 6, 2008 T. Ferris (Ft. Worth, TX) We had our cuisinart toaster for over a year and then in started acting funny. It was not toasting as good as it did when we first bought it, and then the right handle broke off. Of course, since it was over a year old the warranty did not cover it. If I am going to spend 50-60 dollars for a toaster, it should last much longer than ours did. I will not buy another one.
"Don't judge a toaster by its cover..." September 8, 2008 J. Mayberry (Kelseyville, CA United States) HORRIBLE! This looks sexy but does an awful job of making toast. The problem is that it does not toast the bread on both sides of the slice. When you look inside the slots you can see that the elements become cherry red on one side and barely glow on the other. It's the same in all four slots. It drives me nuts every day when I have to flip my toast around to brown the opposite side, causing it to become dried out more than toasted. I've learned to put up with 1/2 toasted bread in most cases. The silver lining is that it works well for my 2 yr old who is beginning to think he likes toast but doesn't like that hard, dry feeling on his tongue. I butter and jam or cinnamon sugar the toasted side for him so the soft side hits his mouth and it goes down better. The cheap toasters I've gotten in the past from the hardware store (Proctor Silex and Toastmaster, with Toastmaster being the best) have been far superior to the Cuisinart.
Cusinart 4-slice toaster review July 20, 2008 Michael L. Shilko (Missouri) The toaster does a good all around job of toasting over the light to dark range, and it is fairly fast.
