This is a great-looking, great-working, sturdy, but LOUD blender. I am satisfied with its work, and I love its great looks, but I am not exaggerating to say that I wear hearing protection when I use it. (You can get cheap, effective ear plugs at a drug store.) If you're okay with that, you will not be sorry to have this product.
