Love this Food Processor! October 4, 2008 Ellie (Portland, Oregon) I had a Braun food processor that lasted me at least a decade but I always had problems with the switch and the latch that kept the bowl on the machine. By the end of it's time with me it was getting harder and harder to turn it off as well as remove the bowl from the stand. Even though it still worked, I ended up throwing it away due to frustration with having to fiddle with it every time I used it. I decided that since I like to keep these things for a long time I wanted the best. After a lot of research I decided on the Kitchenaid 12 cup in Empire Red. It is gorgeous to look at for starters! It is also has a very powerful and relatively quiet motor. It is really heavy and has a very solid feel. There is no vibration or rattling. It is very easy to use with three buttons: on, off and pulse. Everything on this machine feels solid and tight. I can tell already that this one will well outlast my Braun. This is a great investment that I can tell will be in my kitchen for decades.
Good purchase October 1, 2008 JTR I bought this mostly to grate carrots which it does great except for the last skinny little bits which end up between the blade and the cover. My dog gets those! I've used it once to knead dough which it did great, but may not knead a double batch very well. I look forward to trying other things with it.
Food processor September 29, 2008 Nancy E. Finn (North Andover, MA) Having never used a food processor before, I went by others' recommendations on this one. Once I got used to how the food processor works, I really like it. It comes with a case for most of the attachments, but not all. (One of the blades gets left out so I have to store it in the food processor for safety's sake). I'm having a lot of fun with this, and looking forward to learning more ways to use it. I recommend this product.
Great! September 28, 2008 gege2000 (OH) This product is great! It works perfectly and is better than the smaller version. It shipped fast and was very well packaged. Amazon had the lowest price, plus there is a $20 rebate. This was a great buy!
no complaints September 20, 2008 Pug Luver (Gretna, LA) I bought this in February and still have no complaints. It works great...there have been no problems. The step down capability to process smaller batches has been very handy. Since the construction is sturdy, I'm thinking it'll be around for many years. Yeah!
