Product Description Workday mornings are a repetitive and harrowing transition from awakening, dressing, and travelling to work. Who has time to prepare a nutritious breakfast. So you end up picking it up at a deli, diner, or greasy take-out - sometimes waiting on line with all the others - and you're still running late. Back to Basics Egg and Muffin Toaster is an alternative.Need toast? You've got it. Want a poached or hard boiled egg? It's yours. And if you want them together in your favorite breakfast sandwich, the Egg&Muffin Toaster also warms your pre-cooked meat. Bingo...ready to eat in about four minutes. It's sort of the drive-thru breakfast without the drive. As a multi-function appliance, the Egg&Muffin Toaster expands the practical uses for this small electric by giving those with busy schedules more than just toast. The Egg&Muffin Toaster delivers in about four minutes a convenient and tasty morning meal that's both familiar and well liked. In addition to being a full-functioning toaster, the Egg&Muffin Toaster can simultaneously: 1) toast the bread, 2) cook an egg (poached or steam-scrambled), and 3) warm a pre-cooked slice of ham or sausage?or any combination of these three functions, in addition to boiling upto four eggs. The Egg&Muffin Toaster features wide toasting slots, an auto shut-off for individual toasting and poaching options, an easy-to-clean control touchpad, and light to dark toaster settings. It also includes a removable crumb tray for easy clean-up and cord storage. The toaster's ?Egg/Toast? function directs cooking of both items simultaneously to complete at the same time.

Really Clever Design November 22, 2008 nuts about music OK - Every where you go, you can find a great review on this toaster, so seemed like low risk. Much to my surprise (after a few days) this thing seems to meet expectations. When they fail, people rush out to buy the same one again. Now I know why. Here is exactly what you need to know: Pro * A sheet metal plate is in front of the filament wires - so the wires are protected and the heat is very even. You don't see them glowing red. It provides fairly even heat. So yep, this makes really excellent toast. * The egg cooker/steamer is really easy to use and works really well. If you use veg oil spray on the egg pan, it just pops right out on to your sandwich. Pretty funny when you think about it - a toaster that cooks eggs, too. As a fellow inventor, it must have been interesting to convince a company to invest in this sort of gadget with a straight face. * You can steam precooked sausage patties. We use Morning Star breakfast patties - they are veg but you'd never know it and they are really tasty. * The combo egg/toast setting also works well, and like they say, they all the gets done at about the right time. * The manual is small but the English is is very well written and instructions clear. * Comes with little measuring cup with poker to puncture eggs so you can hard boil them. * The cooking time is dictated by how much water you put in the egg cooker. 2 Tablespoons or so is about right. You can perfect it. Con * Slots may be too small for larger craft breads. * When you push up on lever, it lifts toast out of toaster. But it doesn't push toast up far enough for smaller slices. * The egg pan might not be perfectly level causing the yolk to shift to one side - but - you can level it by bending the handle of the pan up or down (just bend it small amount at a time) until it is perfectly level. That's about it! 4 stars.
Great until the egg poacher broke after only 2 months! November 20, 2008 B. Lamb It worked great for the first month I used it, about 4 days a week. Everything worked fine, with the exception of some water that would drip down the side. Then after about a month the egg side stopped working, I kind of forgot about it and tried it again this morning and no matter what (unplugging, resetting etc) it would not work. Very disappointing. I'm going to try to get a replacement, or maybe a refund since it is so new. Just a note, I've had an egg steamer/poacher separate unit for about 2 years and make 7 hard boiled eggs a week with it and it works without fail, I just wanted to have this unit because of the "muffin shaped" egg for sandwiches.
Almost Killed Me November 19, 2008 Kelly Burgess (Connecticut) My boyfriend and I have had this product for at least 6 months now. It worked alright for the first few months, and then the egg cooker just stopped working one day. We've been using the toaster portion of the appliance with no problems. Just the other morning, I awoke to a horrible screeching sound that was coming from the kitchen. My boyfriend investigated and found that the heating element within the egg cooker had started working and turned itself on again. It was smoking, and probably would have burnt my apartment down had I not heard the horrible noise it was making. I like egg sandwiches, but I also like my apartment not burning to the ground.
Fantastic November 19, 2008 red (Houston, TX USA) I can't think of a single change I would make. The handle to the egg cup doesn't get hot, it handles all bread, you can forget about it and it's perfect. It's a little big, I guess. This little device is a weekday lifesaver. I am so grateful to have a quick and easy breakfast.
Daddy's Little Helper November 16, 2008 S. A. Rozen (Texas) I enjoy being the breakfast man of the house. This is much more than an toaster. It is a breakfast machine. I love it! Both the hard boiled and poached eggs are perfect every time. Remember to "punch the hole" in the top of the hard boiled egg w/the provided cup, then the eggs won't "pop" and leak. Keep the unit clean (which is not difficult at all). Enjoy, I do....
