1 out of 5 stars reviewing Amazon   July 23, 2008
Rogna
cuisinart bread machine cbk200

I have not used the bread machine yet.
It will be the first time I have ever
used a machine to make bread. So I
cannot review the machine yet.

I think, even though I clicked on
purchasing a *new* machine, I think I
received a used one or a returned one,
because there were spots on the lip of
the machine under the cover.

Too, I have a feeling the machine
has been **discontinued**
and none of the outlets are telling us
because I went online to Cuisinart and
it isn't even offered.

My review of the bread machine will come
at the end of the week after I use it for
the first time.

But, my machine did not come with
a manual. Nowhere on Amazon is there a
phone number to call a human being about
the problem.

The Cuisinart warehouse is 3 miles from us.
We called ALL their phone numbers and none
of them worked!

Finally, I had gone online and googled
where I could download a manual for the
bread machine. which I have a feeling
has been *discontinued*

and none of the outlets are telling us.
Because I went online to Cuisinart and
it isn't even offered.

I was low on printer ink and paper.
But, I thought that I would have enough
to print up a little manual.

Well, that little manual turned into
115 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and I ran out of ink and paper.

After my husband ran up to Staples' to
buy more paper and ink and after printing
up the manual, my husband found an 800
phone # quite a few pages in.

It was not an enjoyable experience at all.
It was supposed to be an early 44th anniv. gift
from my husband...a joyful gift which turned into
a horror show.

I have only ever written 3 bad reviews in my
life. This is the 3rd. I have always written
raves.

I just hope this bread machine turns out
to be better than our experience.

This would be the first time I've
written a bad review about Amazon.

1 out of 5 stars Material is made of made construction   July 21, 2008

The outside may be made of stainless steel, but the inside interior isn't made of stainless steel(where it counts). Not recommended for baking, poor quality product and overpriced in that regard.

5 out of 5 stars makes great gluten free bread   July 15, 2008

I am using this bread machine to make gluten free bread and it makes excellent loafs of bread each time. It is very easy to use, just read the instruction manual first and follow the instructions carefully and it makes perfect bread. Based on reviews that I read before I bought this machine I have been setting the machine on light crust each time and it cooks just right. It is very easy to clean. The display is very easy to read. I recommend this bread machine to everyone, gluten free or not.

2 out of 5 stars Another one with pan problems   July 13, 2008

I bought this because I have other Cuisinart items that I like. I was a bit worried about the comments with the pan not staying in but figured it couldn't be too bad as my 16 year old Panasonic didn't even have anything to hold it down, it just dropped in and worked. Boy, was I wrong- after a month my wife could get it to hold in place after about 5 minutes of fiddling around. Now, neither of us can get it to stay, I force the end of the handle through one of the hold down holes and leave it at that. Not great but it kind of works. Otherwise, I am happy with everything else about it but I'm afraid I'm advising not to buy one, it's definitely not worth the hassle.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect results every time   July 6, 2008

I've had this machine for over a year now and I've made a lot of different types of bread in it; pre-made mixes and recipes from the instruction booklet and recipes from cookbooks. It has never failed me in any way.

I suppose the biggest difference between this unit and the previous bread machines that I've owned is that I treat the baking pan the same way I treat my knives. I don't put it in the dishwasher, ever.

The other thing I like about this machine is the audible alert to remove the paddle (if you're around to hear it). This makes for a much nicer loaf which is much easier to remove from the pan.

I suppose I'll be making bread with this thing for a lot of years because it's built like a tank.
