Great Remote But Not Easy To Setup September 3, 2008 ucced The remote does all that the ads say it can. It is very customizable and works with all my equipment. The issue is that you need your computer to set up the remote. If the computer is not in the same room as your home entertainment equipment, look out. I ran up and down stairs for a week until I got most of the features going. The instructions are online also, so another reason to make sure you have that computer with you. Also, I'd start my setup with my devices first, setting your buttons to equal your individual remotes being replaced. Then, it is easy to set up the "activities" (like watch tv, play a DVD, etc.
Does it all after YOU are trained September 3, 2008 Rj Miller (Pitman, NJ) This remote demonstrates outstanding control and flexibility. There is a learning curve of 2 or 3 hours over sevral days but it is completely worth it. For example this remote groups the devices needed to watch TV and powers only those. Switching a task to listen to radio powers down all but reciever/amp. The only problem is with the user. We are all accustomed to grabbing different remotes or assigning macros to tasks on other remotes. You can (should) only use this remote and no others. It knows the "condition" it left your system in: TV on, DVD on, Amp on ..etc If you manually turn one of these devices on or off you change the state of the system and the remote can't perform as expected on the next task. However there is the best interactive help system I've ever seen on a remote. It simply asks questions and the result of help sessions have been 100% successful for me. The interactive Web/USB interface is the key to customization. It's very straightforward.Learning from other remotes is quick and easy. Pack a lunch when you go to set it up, but again, it's worth it. Touchscreen is awsome and has good resolution. Good eye candy. Get it and don't look back! My remote pile is gone.
Hard to program September 2, 2008 T. D. Nicholson (Bellevue, NE) A little hard to program but when it works it sure makes life easier and less cluttered (one remote versus 3)
Best universal remote September 1, 2008 Stacy Ethun (Orlando) the best universal remote we've ever used. it takes your entire sound system line up, from TV, DVD, CD's, stereo, etc and programs which device needs to be turned out for each function. Easy to set up via your computer (so you have to have one)and you can also personalize. Shop around for the best price.
Best Remote yet by Logitech September 1, 2008 M. Jensen This is my third Logitech remote. The other 2 I own are the older models and work just fine. Logitech Harmony One takes it to another level! I have had the remote now for a few days and tweaked it and got it just how I want it. It is very easy to configure and use. I cant think of any negatives...Get one you wont be sorry!
