4 out of 5 stars Good Grinder, Very Noisy   August 20, 2008
M. Carreiro (seattle, wa United States)
I've had it for a couple of weeks now.
I replaced a nice capresso blade grinder which was starting smell like motor failure after about 5 seconds.

Overall I am very satisfied with the quality of the product and the output. Much of this thing will go in the dishwasher once it's time to clean.

This grinder is so loud that I have changed my morning routine a little bit.
I leave the house an hour before the rest of the family is away.
My ritual for the past dozen years has been to wake up, grind coffee, brew coffee.
Our blade grinder never woke anyone up.
I now grind the evening before, and have started using the timer on my coffee pot.

5 out of 5 stars Refurbished? Looks and works, like brand new to me.   August 8, 2008

My 15 year old Delonghi coffee grinder finally had to be replaced. Not that it no longer worked. It was just time for a new coffee grinder.

I don't remember what I paid for the Delonghi 15 years ago. But after seeing the prices for the newer top of the line grinders. It was time to check out the refurbished models.

I'm delighted with this refurbished Cusinart. It arrived looking as if it was brand new. It's very quiet, compared to the Delonghi. The bean hopper holds double the amount, and the auto measuring feature is wonderful. I'm not sure why a few are complaining about the fine grinding not being fine enough for expresso/cappuccino. But it works great as far as I'm concerned. Any finer grind, would be just shy of powder.

I've purchased several refurbished kitchen appliances in the past few weeks. And in by doing so, I've saved several hundred dollars. Every one of the appliances looks and works like brand new. Including this Cusinart refurbished grinder.

So, unless you just want to spend a lot of extra money for brand new. Try
a refurb or two. Thank you again, Cusinart.

This is an excelent product, great apereance excelent working, it cames as new but a very low price 'cause is factory refubrished... It's a great deal. There is nothing like to grind your own coffe beans... If you really enjoy a cup of coffe you know what I mean...

4 out of 5 stars Grinds coffee   June 21, 2008

Works pretty well for standard coffee grinding. Noisy, but less annoying than most blade grinders. "Fine" setting is not-so-fine, not good for espresso.

4 out of 5 stars Good Grind - Short Lifespan   May 31, 2008

This is my second purchase of this reconditioned Cuisinart grinder. The first one lasted about a year before it stopped working, but still worth the cost. Mine gets a workout on a variety of grind settings and the grind is always excellent. I also like the large bean hopper size.
