Amazon.com Review With Cuisinart's handsome, compact coffee grinder, it's easy to always have fresh coffee made to exact specifications. It has a 2-1/2-ounce capacity--enough for 12 cups of coffee. The grinder's clean lines and teardrop shape make it easy to hold, and it runs with the push of a button. To use, simply measure coffee beans into the bowl, replace the lid, and hold down the button until the coffee is ground to the desired consistency. Both the bowl and blades are made of stainless steel. Unplug the grinder when it's not in use--the cord can be stored in the base of the unit. --Jennifer Harris

Really does the job/solid product March 3, 2010 gpstogo (Chicago, IL) This is a lovely, heavy unit that works beautifully. I bought it mainly for spices but did use it first for coffee beans when I was having trouble with my burr grinder. Since I'm used to turning a wheel on the burr grinder to get the level of grind I need, I had to experiment a couple of times to get it right with this grinder but the result was consistent and evenly ground coffee beans. I used them in my french press and it was perfect.
I'll probably keep this exclusively for spices since I already have a burr grinder but it is a well made, attractive addition to my countertop and I found nothing awkward about using it. The top fits well and the pulsing was far more quiet than I'd expected. A good product in all I'd say.
Bad design/good looks February 6, 2010 Mary P. Deprez (PRIMM SPRINGS, TN, US) great look but very bad design....just the tiniest "thing" that engages the motor when you push the button down.....worked 3 times then failed to connect. I have a 10 year old "Mr. Coffee" that does extremely well, although it has high EMF's and to keep my hand away from the strong EMF's I use the butt end of a wooden spoon to push down the button while grinding coffee.....
Small & efficiant February 1, 2010 E. Stroud (San Antonio, TEXAS) Great coffee grinder. I have had mine for 8 years (older version?) and it is still going strong. Can also be used for spices, but clean well before and after.
Terrible Design! December 26, 2009 SB1 (Santa Barbara) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The grinder is too small and you are guaranteed to spill beans everywhere. Get the Krups instead, I have that one at work and it is much better.
Great Little grinder December 19, 2009 Michael John Miller (Berkley,Michigan) I've went through several spice grinders nad this one holds to my many demands.
It does a nice job of grinding hard and soft spices to the desired grind.
For the price its a great tool.
