Amazon.com Review Nothing beats a freshly ground, freshly brewed cuppa joe to start the day, and with this grinder, you can have up to 20 cups' worth of beans at a time. The classic white color and contemporary oval design fit in well with any kitchen décor, while the small size (just 6 inches high) doesn't take up too much premium counter space. Stainless-steel blades guarantee a long life and an even grind, whether you use this grinder for coffee, spices, nuts, or even whole grains. --Jill Lightner

Decent, long lasting grinder July 17, 2008 A. Crowe I have had this same Krups blade grinder for 12 years now; it always works and has never had a problem. Probably the best grinder for the money if you can get around the "dust and boulders" that these grinders put out. The dust gets overbrewed and boulders get underbrewed with these machines. Sure, you can make some good drip or french press coffee with some fresh beans and this machine. It will probably be better than the vast majority of coffee you get at shops. If you want to really control what's going on though, a good burr grinder (at 4x the cost and up) will help you achieve consistently superior coffee. For what it is, this grinder is excellent.
Money Well Spent July 14, 2008 justme This little thing is cost efficient and works great. I was leary about buying a blade grinder vs the ring type that crushes the beans. This little grinder works really well. I can even keep it going to get espresso type grounds if I want. It takes literally only seconds to grind a full pot worth of coffee. I'm really happy with this purchase.
Some problems but great grinding action July 11, 2008 J. Rideout (Pahrump, NV USA) Great grinding action, quiet, and fast. Downfalls are hard to clean, and we have had a problem with the switch. We had trouble with the switch not turning machine on when pressed. We tried un-plugging the unit and then plugging it in again and the switch works. Nothing in the literature says to do this, but it is the only way ours will work. Would not buy another.
Poor assembly July 7, 2008 Laura C. Larsson (Chehalis, WA, USA) I purchased this product as an early birthday present for my husband. Imagine both of our disapointments when we found the grinding assembly was not assembled properly. The grinder would not turn because a part was missing and the grinder rubbed against the side of bean holder freezing it in place. The bummer is that I tossed the return slip before I checked it for flaws and now have waited too long to return it - so I have to eat the cost. I'm surprised that a usually quality manufacturer such as Krups would have such poor quality control. It was made in Mexico.
wish it had a spout June 28, 2008 B. Smith (Texas) The grinder grinds well. However, I like the type of kitchen grinder which can hold beans, grind beans, and has a spout for the ground beans to come out of-so one dosen't have to add beans every time. This grinder has to have beans put into it each time one grinds, then the ground coffee has to be emptied each time-a big hassle in my opinion. But it will be useful, due to the small size, for travel grinding, for fresh coffee on the road, one cup at a time.
