Amazon.com Review Programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time, this coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups. A replaceable charcoal filter improves the water, and a permanent Gold Tone filter replaces paper filters. Other features include a spray head that distributes water evenly through the ground coffee; a glass carafe with a stylish stainless-steel band; a scratch-resistant nonstick warming plate; cord storage in the rear (push in the cord to conceal it); a window that shows the water level; and a pause function for a midbrew pour when the carafe is removed. For peace of mind, you can program the warming plate to shut off at a specified time (up to four hours) after brewing. Clad in gleaming black plastic that easily wipes clean, the coffeemaker measures 13-3/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 11 inches deep (including the carafe handle), and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack
Product Description This coffeemaker has all the most sought after features. You can set it up the night before to have coffee ready and waiting when you need to grab a cup quickly in the morning. Or, you can interrupt the brewing cycle if you start it in the morning but just can't wait those few minutes until the end of the cycle. It comes with a permanent filter, and a charcoal water filter. After all if you make a cup of coffee with lousy tasting water, it only stands to reason that the end product will suffer.

This is a great coffee maker! July 22, 2008 K. Dahlberg This is a wonderful coffee maker and I am very pleased with it. Finally there is a carafe that doesn't leak coffee all over the counter! The water resvoir is a bit small, but if you pour the water slowly there is no problem It makes great coffee, is attractive and easy to use. My only disappointment is that the clock doesn't light up, but that is a small trade off for the non leaking carafe. I would recommend this for anyone not wanting to spend a fortune on a coffee maker.
Extremely Pleased! July 21, 2008 Dolores Foster First, I was really happy with the speedy response! The coffee-maker was in my kitchen within a very short time span. As for the Cuisinart coffee-maker, it is simply ideal. It has a streamlined look, doesn't take up much room on my counter, and best of all makes a great pot of coffee. Another plus, is that it is very easy to clean. In fact,I liked it so much that my husband told me to order another while they are still available...to keep in reserve for a "just in case" scenario.
Excellent Maker! Great Coffee... July 13, 2008 Jim Davolt (Phoenix, Arizona) As coffee makers go this one has a few extras that make it stand out. First off, is the charcoal filter water purifier that is built in. Takes all the impurities out of the water and leaves you with a very tasty cup of coffee. It's water delivery system is a shower type instead of a drip so it distributes the water over all of the grounds. This makes sure you use all the grounds for a robust cup of coffee every time. It's fast, only takes about 5 min for a 12 cup pot of coffee and has an audible beep that tells you when the coffee is done. I was very pleased with my choice in coffee makers and I would recommend the Cuisinart DCC1000 Programmable Filter Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker to anyone looking for a great coffeemaker.
Good coffee; hard to clean March 22, 2008 D. M. Rice (Poway, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This makes very tasty coffee, but is a pain to clean. Getting the basket out and drying the inside so you can brew another pot is more time consuming than any automatic drip maker I've owned. In the descriptions of the product it would have been good if there had been more detail on the factors involved in cleaning and setting the pot up for automatic brewing. The electronic part is a breeze; it's the physical part that is a pain!! The best ones I've owned had a swing out basket for cleaning and putting fresh ground coffee in.
about coffeemaker March 12, 2008 Jacque Bryant (TN) Very good, dependable product. But beware of the advertisement it is misleading as it states it comes with a permanent filter which after receiving it, this statement is not true.
