| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The pebbly matte finish and industrial switches give this coffemaker a sophisticated and serious appearance. You would not expect anything less than a great cup of coffee from such a machine. And indeed this coffeemaker delivers. A filter cleans your water, removing calcium and chlorine impurities, because you can't have great coffee without great water. You can sneak a cup, or you can program this appliance to have your brew ready and waiting at the time you specify. It's got a clock, and an indicator that tells you when it's time to decalcify. Flavorful coffee awaits, whether you're making one cup or twelve.

Cuisinart DCC-1200 Black and Stainless Steel January 8, 2009 Earl R. Gabbard (San Antonio, TX) This coffee maker has been in service only since Christmas Day . . . I read all the reviews before buying this lifegiving piece of equipment. Is it supposed to have a light in the clock? Who cares? This sits in the kitchen where clocks much larger and easier to read abound. Can't figure how much water you're putting in? Fill your favorite coffee mug as many times as cups of coffee you will drink and pour each in the carafe. Add half a cup more water (read instructions!) and pour in the water holding tank. Plenty of room is available at the opening of the holding tank, just pour slowly and steadily and stand on a stool if you're extremely vertically challenged since the opening is on the back, RH corner. Before adding grounds the first time, read the directions, then adjust to taste during the next couple of uses. Controls are simple and straightforward. I like having the grounds basket up top. It's almost impossible to knock over/out the carafe this way! The only thing funky about the carafe is the lid. It isn't attached on a hinge, but snaps in from front to back and snaps out with your thumb from back to front. It works just fine, but just different from the norm. Oh yes, it does make a good cup of coffee! Glad I bought (me) a new coffee pot for my wife for Christmas!
Looked a long time for a good coffee maker! January 7, 2009 Bill Benners (New Bern, NC USA) I've gone through a lot of coffee makers looking for one that makes coffee as good as I find in restaurants. This one surprised me with the first cup. If you've been searching for a good coffee maker, you found it. I've had mine for more than a month now and make 2 to 3 pots a day with it. Very good coffee! However, I find the replacement water filters a little hard to find locally, but they are available in many places online.
Very good coffee maker January 6, 2009 Raymond E. Smith Jr. (Conroe, TX) After reading recent issue of Consumers Report, I ordered the top rated KitchenAid DCC1200. I got a very good price of $63 including shipping. It works better than any coffee maker I have ever owned. I recommend it.
Great Java Maker January 6, 2009 Wing T of Virginia (Virginia Beach, VA) Prompt delivery. Excellent condition. All as described. Works great. Easy to program and the coffee is brewed perfectly. Have several Cuisinart products and all them are far above average. You may pay a bit more, but you will get a quality product. I strongly, without reservations, recommend this product.
Fantastic coffee maker! January 2, 2009 Jessica Jeffrey (MI, USA) I previously had a Cuisinart Grind and Brew. For the money it was great, but when the grinder broke, I had to pitch the whole unit. I decided than to "simplify" my coffee maker to one without a grinder, or other parts that can break. I have been using my Cuisinart for over 2 months and love every cup!!! The coffee is hot when it comes out and stays hot for the two hour's i might keep it on. It is vey easy to use, and the BEST PART is the fact that the "stainless steel" looks stainless, but does not get the finger prints and water marks like my old coffee maker. I would highly recommend this to any one looking for that new coffee maker.
