I have nothing to compare this to as I have never owned another grinder, so I will just give my opinion. I have used this for pill grinding so far and it has done an incredible job, my 12 pills go from huge to powder in about 10 seconds. It operates easily with the simple press of a button. Love it, highly recommend.

I bought this only for grinding spices. You need to use a substantial amount in order to achieve that fine grind. Clean up is easy with a paper towel and a brush. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the cap. If the little peg breaks, you're out of luck. Compared to other grinders, this one is pretty powerful while being inexpensive.

This grinder works quickly and effectively. The only downside is the static that builds up on the plastic lid and internals. Coffee grounds stick to the plastic and require a bit more effort to clean up.

I purchased this product to grind variety of things such as flax seeds, nuts, garlic, and ginger. It works great for flax. I tried on garlic, didn't work quite as well. It was uneven and I ended with mushy garlic mixed with large chunks. I give it benefit of the doubt that it's probably not made for garlic. It does say coffe and spice mill. I think it does what it's supposed to do well.
