This is a great coffee grinder. I used a blade grinder for years, but it was inadequate for grinding the beans I used in my coffee press. Now I get perfectly ground coffee every time.

This grinder seemed to work smoothly for about 4 months. About a month ago, however, it began to take more cycles to grind a serving of beans. I tried contacting Breville customer service. They make this a difficult feat. Now the grinder takes forever to grind beans and the grinder is getting hot and smoking.I hope to send it back! Not impressed for being only 5 months old!

I love that it's fast and quiet. The ground coffee cup empties more easily (less coffee sticking) than most.
Very easy to change the grind. Pretty good capacity.
I don't know what else someone would want in a grinder for home use.
Many of the parts are plastic, but except for the lid on the ground coffee catcher (which seems a little flimsy - but adequate), they're pretty heavy duty plastic.

This grinder does the job fine, but it's always rather warm, which means it's sucking a fair amount electricity even when not in use. I leave it unplugged when I'm not grinding.
The lid hinges on the grind basket are flimsy and I expect I'll break them one day.
