Krups Fast Touch Coffee Grinder October 6, 2008 Mrs. Tricia (MO, USA) Excellent product for anyone wishing to grind their own coffee. This is the 2nd one we have owned. The first one purchased over 18 years ago and still works, but the plastic cover cracked. Considering how often we have used it, I'm surprised it lasted that long. The only thing I wish is that it had a cleaning brush with it, in case one wanted grind spices and coffee. Would recommend to anyone.
Perfect September 24, 2008 L. Snow I love this coffee grinder. It is well designed. However, I have gone through 4 grinders in 6 years. The grinder is easily damaged when dropped, even a short distance (12 inches). I have not been able to get replacement parts. Which is why I have gone through 4 grinders in 6 years. This grinder does a great job, when handled with care. The other Krupps grinders seem to be appearance motivated than performance motivated.
Excellent selection. September 23, 2008 Richard C. Fremon (Allamuchy, NJ) The Krup coffee maker is an excellent selection. It does exactly what was advertised and the price was reaonable. I am delighted with it.
Still grinding, after all these years September 23, 2008 A. Dent (USA) I had one of these for about 5 years. Eventually, it developed a few cracks and I had to replace it. It didn't take too long, a couple of years ago, to find the exact model I was decommissioning at, amazingly, the exact same price I paid for one the first time I bought one. Operation is easy. You feed it some coffee beans and it grinds them. Not much else to say, really. It's durable, quick and dependable. After 2 years, it looks as good as new and, if it begins to crack after a couple more years of operation, I don't mind. I'll probably end up buying another one of the same.
Ideal grinder for small users September 21, 2008 Yi Feng (Astoria, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this grinder 9 months ago, and have been using it grinds 6 lbs of coffee. It works well for me - the only coffee drinker at my home. The mechanics are solid. The motor is powerful and smooth, and grinds 3 spoons (maximum capacity) in 10-12 seconds to a quite fine grounds. The grounds are quite even. It could make the coffee beans really fine grounds by grinding 5 more seconds. The inner side of the grinder is very smooth. With a brush, it can be easily cleaned. But you need a brush ($5). The grinder is also very secure. The trigger button is concave - without the lid on, one cannot trigger the grinder and hurt oneself. In addition, the power cord is really short - one must disconnect it to get the coffee out. Some people may hate this but this secures our fingers. As a lot of reports saying it dies after 12-15 months, I will follow up here.
