Amazon.com Review Blessed with a carafe that pours without dripping, a water filter, and touchpad electronic controls, this coffeemaker provides safety, convenience, and a host of options for brewing 12 5-ounce cups at once. The carafe is calibrated for both filling the reservoir properly and for judging the amount of brewed coffee and the water filter improves taste by reducing chlorine. The control panel provides a 24-hour clock/timer for brewing "wake-up" coffee and permits the nonstick warming plate's temperature to be set as desired. Other features include a calibrated window on each side for monitoring the water reservoir's level, a hinged cover that flips back to reveal both reservoir and coffee filter, and cord storage. The carafe has a comfortable handle and a guard to protect the knuckles. The coffeemaker measures 7-3/4 inches wide, 12-1/2 inches high, and 10-1/4 inches deep. --Fred Brack

Buying another one. Love it. September 3, 2008 C. Waters (Maryland) I've had this model coffee maker for years. For the price, under $30, I get years of use and good coffee. I like the timer and the auto shutoff, the clear windows on the side, how easy it is to pour water into it (so many coffee makers are such a pain to pour water into!), and what someone called the 'sneak a cup' feature. I know it's an inexpensive coffeemaker, but this coffee addict is sticking with it. The one I'm replacing still works but the auto shut-off feature is on the blink. After using it for about 4-5 years, I'm going to retire it to being the back-up coffeemaker, and get a new one. If memory serves, the one one I had before this one was the same model, but in white. I had replaced my white one because it's a lot easier to clean a black coffeemaker than a white one. :-)
Dificult to Fit Under Cuboards August 29, 2008 K. Logan (Ohio, USA) This coffee maker's top flips open to add water and coffee grounds. The result is an added 8 inches to its height, which makes it awkward to use the unit on a couter top under a cabinet. It makes coffee fine.
Not a good deal August 22, 2008 Whale bone (Oakridge, OR USA) This coffee maker conked out a few months after I got it. The clock never worked (didn't keep time)over all it's a piece of junk don't buy unless you want to add it to your junk pile.
Black & Decker coffee smart. August 12, 2008 carl smith (Santa Rosa, Ca United States) It is easy to set time & set time to brew! At last a simple brewer.
Not Worth It August 10, 2008 J. Conley (Las Vegas, NV) I am really disappointed in this coffeemaker. Consumer Reports rated this high. I purchased on 4/21/08 and today, 8/10/08, this coffeemaker is in non-working order.
