bodum replacement carafe March 11, 2010 Vidhu Tenneti (Seattle WA) I placed an order for this replacement carafe after reading the reviews. As others have mentioned too make sure you order the correct size. The replacement was pretty easy to do and it fits well. Only thing i did not like was that my original beaker had a red Bodum logo in the front which i miss on this one. Also i just saw the other day that the carafe is available at Whole foods market for $20 or $21 which is almost the same price i payed ...So now i do not have to wait for it to be shipped.
replacement beaker fits! February 12, 2010 B. Renkas (south carolina, usa) item arrived as advertised, and thankfully was the right size. we had measurements from the one we broke, and it turned out to be the 34 ounce (hard to pinpoint total volume when the last one was smashed into lots of pieces). we should've gotten two!
Great until you break it! February 3, 2010 Wayne W. Wakeen The Bodum French press makes great coffee. But I doubt anyone has ever owned a glass beaker for longer than a year and not broken it. And they're expensive if you can find and buy them locally. I buy them four at a time when the 4 for the price of 3 promotion is going on along with free shipping. Brings the cost down to an acceptable level given I KNOW I'll continue to break them. Bodum does make a non-breakable beaker but it is expensive and does not look quite as good. Don't know if it makes great coffee.
thrilled to find a replacement January 30, 2010 Dean DuPree (Spokane, WA) I was thrilled to find a replacement glass for my french press, but this replacement has small permanent writing (disclaimer and product temp warning info) that made it not very pretty.
can't believe I got the right size on the first time December 24, 2009 adjective (place) Like a lot of customers, I had a hard time figuring out which replacement beaker to order. The replacement is exactly identical to the one that came with my French Press. I gave it four stars rather than five because thicker glass would be preferable (though perhaps less lucrative to the manufacturer.)
