Product Description
BonJour brings color, comfort and performance together in the versatile Hugo French Press. Features unbreakable polycarbonate carafes. Patented high dome filtering lid for less sediments in your coffee.

Amazon.com Review
A virtually unbreakable polycarbonate carafe makes this coffee press sturdy enough for picnics or camping. To use a French press, grounds are placed in the bottom of the (preheated with hot water, if possible) carafe, then near-boiling water added. The lid with its stainless-steel rod and filter is pushed down after a few minutes of steeping, and the coffee is ready to pour. Many coffee aficionados swear by the French press method. The Hugo features a second mesh screen in the lid that removes even more of the coffee grounds sediment typically left behind by most coffee presses.

In addition to the polycarbonate carafe, the Hugo features a rubberized comfort-grip handle and plastic frame, which makes it possible for coffee (or tea) to be reheated in a microwave when the lid and stainless-steel fixtures are removed. The Hugo eight-cup carafe makes about 32 ounces of coffee, which is more like four cups for most coffee drinkers. An individual-sized 12-ounce model is also available, and both come in black, white, blue, or green. --Ann Bieri

1 out of 5 stars breakable   October 1, 2008

Been using it for less than 2 months now and there is a leak from the bottom. The cost to ship the item back under warranty is just about as much as buying another one. not worth it

5 out of 5 stars Work great to me   September 30, 2008

Nothing bad for this one. It works great for me so far (about one month from purchased it). I use it for tea not coffee press.

5 out of 5 stars A good buy for any coffee drinker   September 18, 2008

This french press is simple to use and durable. I was using it to it's full potential from the moment I took it out of the box; there is really no use for the instructions with which it comes. Since then, I've used it about two to three times a day for 6 weeks. Dispite frequent and chronic insults, it's remained fully functional without signs of decay. Adding to it's simplicity is the cleaning of the french press. Really, it doesn't stain and comes apart (two pieces) for fast and thorough cleaning.

What's more, the coffee it produces seems to me to be the right amount of coffee. And now that I've had coffee in it's thick, foamy, and altogether stronger mode, I can't see myself returning to the watery murck produced by cumbersome drip coffee makers.

Buy this.

4 out of 5 stars Fantastic!   September 3, 2008
Lyndsey Duddles (Hood River, Oregon USA)
This is a fantastic product. I purchased this for my 5th wheel travel trailer. I used to have an old regular coffee pot but, sometimes we dry camp. (no hookups) so I needed something to make "great" coffee in. This is small, yet makes enough coffee for me and my husband. The main reason I chose this though for the plastic carafe, so it will travel and not break. These make great travel coffe pots. Hope this helped, Good Luck.

4 out of 5 stars Smelled like a rubber boot   August 18, 2008

Works fine, what can go wrong with a french press. The rubber base smelled like a tire and took several washings to get rid of the odor
