Good coffee; good help for the poor September 3, 2008 Dorothy D. White (Issaquah, WA USA) Pura Vida French Roast coffee is strong, delicious, and not at all bitter. Not only is it a first-rate product, but purchase of it benefits needy children. As a true coffee lover, I highly recommend it.
Disappointing, I'm afraid. April 5, 2008 Lawrence D. Latham (Aguanga, California) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
People have different tastes, I guess, and in this case my wife and I were disappointed. We ordered the Pura Vida French Roast on the recommendation of other buyers here at Amazon, thinking we could perhaps avoid the slight inconvenience of having to run to the nearest Starbucks shop to pick up coffee every couple of weeks. But we prefer the taste of the Starbucks by a rather wide margin. Pura Vida does not have the deep, full bodied smoothness of Sbucks whole bean French Roast. Not even close. Too bad for us, but some people evidently like it. When it comes to coffee (as with pizza!) you simply must consult your own palate.
Great Coffee!! March 27, 2008 Randi L. Frailey 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have never bought whole bean coffee or fair trade, organic coffee before so my limited experience may not be worth much. I love the coffee and it tastes great. The price is doable for my budget. I will be purchasing again.
Delicious and smooth February 28, 2008 Venomous Kate of ElectricVenom *dot* com (Kansas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love French roast but had been unsuccessful finding one that delivered the body and smoothness that I love. This one's a winner -- and their charitable policy makes me feel great, too!
fantastic in my french press February 24, 2008 avocadomuffin (Los Angeles, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm on my way to finishing my first of the three bags, and I have been very pleased with the coffee, which I purchased due to the positive reviews. I've had the coffee via the french press method, coarse ground. I tend to prefer mild coffee (often breakfast blend types), and I have enjoyed this both black and with cream or milk. I'm happy with the price and it seemed quite fresh.
