Cuisinart 14-Cup Coffeemaker March 15, 2010 Lana (Redding, CA) I purchased the 14-Cup Cuisinart Coffeemaker a little over a month ago and I am totally satisfied. I researched and this coffeemaker had the best reviews for the price. The 14 cup capacity is great, I don't run out of coffee. It is easy to use and looks good and is smaller than my last 12-cup coffeemaker. This is my first experience with Cuisinart and I am very happy. I found the best price by far from Amazon.com and I loved the free shipping.
Consistently Good! March 14, 2010 Cornelia Raisner (San Francisco, CA USA) The best coffee maker we've had in the past 30 years, and this is probably our 5th or 6th. Pros: Easy to fill, easy to program; the carafe has a nice hefty feel to it; generous 14 cup size (based on European, not standard 8 oz.), but still more more than the other coffee makers. It's very easy to see if the maker is in the "Automatic Start" mode - which we use on weekdays. So, it's easy to remember to turn it to "manual" on the weekends when you want to sleep in. (With our old Krups, it was hard to tell if the timer was set for automatic start.) We also like the "bold" flavor setting for the large quantities , but use the "regular" setting for small pots. You can also control the temperature of the carafe/finished product. Cons: The beep that sounds when the coffee is finished brewing is not very loud, and it sounds only once. (The Krups we had before was quite loud and beeped 3 times.) Finally, if you forget to put the carafe in position and have the machine set to "automatic" start, it will make coffee all over your counter. - it's a great machine, but not smarter than the operator!
Cuisinart Coffeemaker March 12, 2010 M. Morrell (PV Arizona) I have had this coffeemaker for about 1 month and so far it's performed as expected. I hope to get many years of use from this unit.
Love the Cuisinart 14-cup March 12, 2010 Maniacs Wife (Cocoa, FL USA) Love this coffee pot -- We have had the coffee pot for about a month now and really like it.
It is quiet, programmable and brews a good pot of coffee. It is easy to use and so far has
worked out great for us.
Makes a Really Good Cup of Coffee March 11, 2010 mlp (chicago) Love this coffeemaker. It replaces my prior Cuisinart, that was still working except for the timer, which is critical in my household. Improvements to this new one are the water guide on the side of the machine, which is so convenient. This machine also drips back into itself when you open the top water fill cover... what a concept! The old machine, that I loved, dripped all over the counter unless you held a paper towel to it every time... just not well designed.
One of the best features of the Cuisinart machine, and one of the main reasons we keep buying this brand is that it has a setting for the hot plate. Since we prefer a glass carafe, unless you have a hot plate setting that can be turned to LOW (and it still keeps the coffee hot), you have burnt coffee after 15 minutes. LOVE THIS FEATURE. We also like that you can set the machine for a richer brew or a regular brew. Great machine overall.... we are very pleased.
