3 out of 5 stars Sunbeam Hot Shot   November 26, 2008
Gail J. Bilazzo (Michigan)
Been using the appliance since my Grandmother introduced us to Hot Shot in the older form in the late 80's. Carried it with on trips, sent it to college, and gave it as gifts over the years.
Recently had to purchase the new model and must say it is not of the quality of the older one. First new model lasted only a few months with the switch in the back going out first. If the second goes that fast may be looking back to the vintage tea kettle on the stove!

I ordered this item because the one pictured by Amazon showed the older model. It has more space for a taller mug. Drill Spot accepted the return promptly and courteously. Wish I could find the old model!

5 out of 5 stars Great product   November 16, 2008

Great product. Have used one for YEARS. Great for office. I couldn't face mornings without this machine in my kitchen. Faster than a microwave. I hope they always keep this product on the market.

4 out of 5 stars Quick & easy   November 2, 2008

Love my new Hot Shot. I've had one for the last 10 years. So when my old one got a little rickety, I bought another. I like the sleek new look, and it works just as well as the old model. Only thing I question is the start button at the top of the unit, which you have to push hard to turn on. It just feels a little cheesy. I'll let you know how long it lasts.

5 out of 5 stars Cool product...   October 28, 2008

This product was everything I expected from Sunbeam and more. After having one for the last 30 years, with no problems(it would still be operating if my roommate hadn't pushed the button to heat with no water in it) it would still be operating. Cudos to Sunbeam for continuing to make a fine reliable product!
