| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review This 4-cup tea press is so handsome, you'll want to display it front and center on your kitchen counter, not hide it away in a cabinet. Its striking modern lines are a fitting tribute to Eileen Gray, the Irish designer and architect who adopted the cafés and salons of Paris as her home. The elegantly patterned stainless-steel frame is easy on the eyes but also protects the glass jug within, and the squared handle is easy to grip even when the press is full of boiling water. To use, simply place tea in the plastic filter column, pour boiling water over the top, then let the contents brew 3 to 7 minutes depending on the kind of tea used. When your drink is at the desired strength, pushing down the plunger will seal the rest of the tea into the base of the column and halt the brewing process. You won't have any tea leaves to read at the bottom of your cup, but there's no mess and no need to remove the strainer before you pour. But be forewarned: the Bodum press doesn't retain heat quite as well as a traditional teapot, so you might want to use a tea cozy if you're not drinking the whole pot at once. It's a shame to cover up such beautiful design, but that's the way the tea leaf tumbles. --Mary Park
