Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
This percolator from Copco brings back the hearty old-fashioned flavor and aroma of fresh brewed coffee. Designed to brew four to six cups, the rust-proof aluminum percolator is perfect for use not only at home but on an RV stove, outdoor grill, or even a campfire. To use, simply place one teaspoon of grounds per cup into the filter basket, fill with the desired amount of cold water, and place on the heat source. When the water boils, the pot begins to perk, with water visibly bubbling inside the translucent plastic knob. The heat should be turned down to low at this point to avoid boiling over. Perk for ten minutes or so, inhale the heady aroma, and the coffee is ready. Very lightweight, the pot brings water to a boil quickly and helps shed the pounds of regular coffeemakers when traveling. The percolator comes with a wide-grip heat-resistant handle and drip-less spout, and measures 10 inches tall with a 5-1/2-inch base. --Ann Bieri

This can be described in one word...'Flimsy'
sure, it works fine once or twice and would actually be useful as a disposable item if the price was lower

Handle is secured by unthreaded rivits. I have one of these I plan to return from another source and the handle came apart the first use. Amazon should not carry this product as it is very poorly constructed.

1 out of 5 stars not that great   April 9, 2005

Have had the pot for 5 weeks. Had to "adjust" the lid so it would fit and wouldn't come off during percolating. Now the coffee basket has broken. Overall not too satisfied. Coffee is weak and most of the water boils away before the coffee is finished.

4 out of 5 stars Works great and nothing to break!   January 25, 2005

I got tired of short-lived coffeemakers, and believe me we have quite a collection in the garage, so I decided to buy something foolproof. It takes a little trial and error to figure it out; if you don't turn it down when it starts to perk it boils over and if you let it perk too long the coffee burns - 8 minutes works for me. It does what it's supposed to do every single time, without fail, and the coffee is piping hot (be careful), unlike the machines. All for a really great price!
