Product Description
The original 1933 design of Alfonso Bialetti, the Moka Express, is one of the most universally recognized products in the world. With over a quarter-billion units sold, the Moka is by far the world's most popular coffee maker. A simple stovetop brewer the Moka is suitable for gas, electric or radiant heat sources...just fill the lower vessel with water, add fine ground coffee to the integral filter and heat until the upper vessel is filled with coffee.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful product!   July 6, 2008

We became spoiled with excellent coffee during a trip to Spain. After researching how the Spanish coffee is made, we learned that Spanish households all have a simple stovetop coffee maker like the Bialetti. So we ordered it and it is FANTASTIC! It is simple to use, sturdy, and makes the same wonderful coffee we enjoyed in Spain. And what a value for $20!!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars Great but corroded- PLEASE HELP!   June 27, 2008

I absolutely love my Moka Espress and always try to heat the coffee at the lowest possible setting on my stove. I either heated it a little too high or did not let it completely dry out after cleaning it one day, because it corroded on the inside (where the water goes). There is now white spots inside and the espresso tastes really funny. I know your not supposed to use soap to clean it, but is there some way I can remove the corrosion safely so I can continue to use the espresso maker? Or is it ruined? Please help! Thanks!!

5 trips to Starbucks and this little baby is paid for!! It makes great espresso, and is easy to use.. especially if you read the reviews/tips left on here by other users, it takes alot of the guess work out for you!! My first couple pots were bitter (like it warns they may be) but after that it made perfect coffee everytime!

I purchased the 3 cup Bialetti about 8 months ago and it keeps getting better and better. Up until recently I used pre-ground beans from Starbucks and Lavazza which was excellent and produced excellent espresso. Now I buy whole beans and grind them before brewing and it tastes even better than when I used pre-ground. I like it strait into an espresso cup or with some heated milk. I also use an Aerolatte To Go, Black to make a cappuccino on the weekends. You really can't beat having great espresso for well under $50 worth of equipment! An excellent product that will serve you well.
