For high-volume coffee production, it doesn't make sense to run multiple pots through a standard drip-filter coffee maker. It's much more efficient to make one large pot that will serve a multitude. This West Bend coffee maker will produce 60 cups of coffee and keep it warm and tasty, without the "toasting" effect that occurs when coffee cooks down in a glass pot on a warming burner. Made of professional-grade stainless steel with stay-cool black handle and feet, the 60-Cup Commercial Coffee Urn is well suited to any type of gathering, whether it's for business or pleasure. Clearly marked volume measurement lines can be read from inside or outside the canister. A dripless toggle faucet is positioned so that almost every last drop will pour out--no waste. In addition to brewing coffee, it can heat water for instant beverages or tea. To reheat cold coffee or other beverages by remove basket and filter, refill canister at least up to the 12-cup mark, and plug the unit in; the green "ready" light will come on when it's been reheated. Cleaning the coffee maker is important for consistent coffee quality. Wash basket, stem, and cover in hot soapy water, then rinse and dry completely. Coffee stains can be removed by using a non-abrasive cleanser. Do not wash the parts in dishwasher; it may discolor them. Clean outside of unit with a soft cloth or sponge. Clean the inner heating well by using the metal cleaning tool provided with a scouring pad. The coffee maker measures 12 by 16 inches (including lid and handles). The item does work.
It could be improved.
(1) Permanently-attached cord is too short being a little over 2 feet long. It barely reaches from a standard table top down to the standard height electrical outlet.
(2) An ON/OFF switch would really be nice.

The 60 cup coffee urn is a great item. Works good and brews coffee in a shorter time than others I have used. Keep warm feature is one item that I like. This is my second purchase of a 60 cup coffee urn, as the first item was not engineered very good and is subject to breaking the view glass. The West Bend does a better job in that area.
