3 out of 5 stars makes coffee   January 21, 2008

This is a very pretty press pot and I really liked it when I first saw it. I even liked it the first few times I used it but that has waned.

The lid doesn't fit very well and I have not figured out why it's happening but occationally the coffee pours out at an angle and misses the cup (not a good thing before a person's first cup in the morning).

The plunger doesn't press down as far as my last press pot did and it seems to make a difference. It's like pouring the brewed coffee through a sieve.

I like that it's stainless steel and it makes a decent cup of coffee but I wish I had my old glass coffee press.
