| Customer Reviews: Most Convenient Coffee Maker Ever! February 15, 2010 California Girl I have been using a Brewmatic Stainless Built in Coffee Maker for over 25 years. I am about to purchase my third one. The first one was about 15 years old when we remodeled the kitchen. It still worked, but I replaced it because everything else was shiny and new. The replacement has lasted over 10 years. I am now on my third, pardon me, my fourth one (I installed one in my mountain cabin)and I wouldn't have any others.
I like decaf and my husband likes regular. For this appllication you can use 2 insulated carafes as shown, but I purchased a double Brewmatic hotplate for coffee and two glass carafe's at my local restaurant supply, one with a black handle and the other orange. I make a pot of regular, replace the grounds and make another pot of decaf. The hotplate keeps the coffee hot hot hot!!! It's great for dinner parties when some want regular coffee and others want decaf. Insulated carafes (shown)should keep coffee hot, but I like my coffee really hot so I continue to use the hotplate. Also, you can reheat the coffee later if needed. Ugh!
The undercounter installation requires an electrical outlet behind the coffee maker(install a double outlet for the mechanical plug and for the hotplate plug) and an in wall or in cabinet cold water line with an emergency shut off. Then all you have to do is place a standard filter in the basket, add coffee, and dial the number of cups you want. The coffee maker dispenses the required amount of water and your coffee is ready in short order.
