I chose this product for the way the top grill fit so that when cooking items of thicker proportions it would adjust unlike those grills on a regular hinge.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT. IT'S NOT WHAT THEY SAID. THE GRILL ITSELF IS ONLY 9X9 AND MIGHT MAKE 4 SMALL BURGERS IF LUCKY. THE MEASUREMENTS THEY GIVE 14X8X17 IS FOR THE BOX IT CAME IN. THE DESCRIPTION THEY GIVE FOR THIS GRILL IS VERY MISLEADING. I WILL BE MORE CAREFULL NEXT TIME I ORDER SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

I love this grill and use it all the time. It is compact, easy to store and with the removable disks, easy to clean. The only thing that it lacks which would be helpful is a timer. But for the money, it is well worth it!

I love my meal maker express. I have the extra large so that I can cook all of my lunch chicken at once and be done with it. The plates pop out easily to clean. My only problems with it are that it is difficult to keep the juices from getting down into the element compartment, which can make it difficult to clean. As long as you are on top of wiping that area every few times you cook, then you're good. Also, since we use it all of the time, the plate coating degrades after about a year. You can order new plates directly from Hamilton Beach.
I've had a few other brands of indoor grill, but this one is the best.
