pinini grill scraper June 21, 2008 Lois Schmertzler does not fit aii panai grills actually the forman grill scaper fits my Delango better then this one
does exactl y what it says it does June 5, 2008 Louis Higgins (Minneapolis, MN) I've used this a couple time. It does a good job of cleaning the panini press. I'm not sure how long it will last. But it was cheap...
Somewhat disappointed June 5, 2008 James M. Selkirk (Surprise, AZ USA) While this was designed for Batali's grill pan, the average person, who puts faith in Amazon's endorsements, would miss the stated fact that it was only designed for this product. The cost was such that it was a throw away, so no harm; no foul.
Best $1.95 I ever spent! May 24, 2008 RachDminor (LA, CA USA) I bought this hoping to bring 2 long-neglected (Lodge) cast iron grill pans back to life. I always hated cleaning them so they hadn't been used in years. This gets the burnt stuff off the raised parts easily - and even between, with a little more effort. Just don't be impatient like I was and use it when the pan's very hot - almost seemed to melt a bit and blacken where it was in contact with the (probably too) hot pan. What seemed almost melted eventually popped off and it's actually a better scraper now with a little sharper, harder edge on one side! I don't hesitate to use the pans any more - even with sticky BBQ sauce. Wow, I'd forgotten how much I LOVE using a grill pan! I bought 2 scrapers, thinking I'd use the other as a tool for paste paper, but I'm keeping it in reserve for my pans. I may even buy more because I never want to be without one again.
The downside of a great pan May 8, 2008 Desert Rat (Tucson, AZ, USA) I received a panini pan--something I had been wanting for a long time--as a gift. After the first use, I had a heck of a time cleaning it. I was really happy to stumble on this tool. I have flat scrapers that I use for cleaning baking stones, so I knew it could work. It does. It's still best to soak the pan first, but this 'scoops the goop' that is loosened by the soak nicely. The only thing that would make it better would be if it did the cleaning without my help :).
