Customer Reviews:
If you're into healthful cooking this is valuable.... September 16, 2008 FrancisXavier (St. Paul, MN United States) I have steamed veggies and reheated pasta, etc. for years in an electric steamer. I decided to try this when I got the matching 3 quart pot. The pot I use is the Cuisinart hard anodized which heats up very quickly and you don't need a lot of water at all. I liked it so much I have taken the electric steamer to Goodwill and use this at least three nites a week. It is so nice to not have to use the microwave or anything plastic in the cooking process any longer. Nice size for two to three portion meals too. The steamer washes beautifully in the dish washer too.
Useless October 26, 2006 mommyofchristopher (United States) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this 2 years ago from Amazon for $21.99 and I think I only used it once when I first purchased it. It is too small to steam anything. And, when you do steam and place it on top of the holes, it takes a very long time to steam because the steam can't come up. That is why I never use it.
