The radiator construction features rustproof metal for even heat distribution and resilience with pure diathermic oil completely sealed inside. Heat radiates through several vertical thermal tunnels while keeping the hot elements enclosed and out of the reach of fingers and other body parts and objects. Three power settings allow flexibility for diverse rooms and personal heating needs. For energy efficiency, the heater runs low at 600 watts or medium at 900 watts to slowly spread warmth. This heater is one of their best. We live in an old house with high ceilings. This heats of the whole room in no time. The burn off smell was not as bad as previous owned oil filled heaters. This was a big plus as well. Be sure to follow the instructions. If you are not using the timer make sure you turn the unit off and unplug it .To avoid burning out the timer mechanism which will cause the unit to fail.

Easy to use. Good output of heat without dangerous electrical elements. Economical because there's no motor or fan. Only negative is that the timer is mechanical so you can hear it click on or off. But it does a good job heating our bedroom that is usually cold downstairs.

Followed advice from the other reviews-put it outside for an hour with the heat up to medium or so. The new smell pretty much went away after that. A little difficult to understand how to get it started at first, but that is not a problem now. Got it for my 95-year old mother to keep her warm, and it does fine in a medium size bedroom. Quiet and no problem about touching it while it's on-no surface is too hot.

This oil-filled radiator heater costs more than cheaper models of the same brand because of the safety top.
This is the second one I have purchased in the last 12 months.

DeLonghi TRD0715T oil-filled radiator. This works pretty well in a basement room once it gets up to temperature - which is about one hour. If you need immediate heat, then this would not be a good choice.
