Amazon.com Review Cooks shopping for midweight stainless-steel cookware at a mid-range price may well have found their match with this cookware set from Cuisinart. Equipped to handle most common cooking tasks, the 17-piece set includes a 1-1/2-, 2-, and 3-quart covered saucepan; an 8-, 10-, and 12-inch covered skillet with helper; a 4-quart covered saute with helper, and a 9-quart covered stockpot, as well as a 7-3/4-inch covered steamer insert and 9-1/2-inch covered pasta steamer insert. As part of Cuisinart's Chef's Classic line of cookware, all pieces are made of 18/10 stainless steel that has been polished to a brilliant mirror finish and that won't react to acidic foods. An inner core of aluminum ensures that foods heat quickly and evenly without hot spots that can burn foods. The riveted stainless-steel handles on the cookware stay cool on the stovetop and the matching 18/10 mirror-polished stainless-steel lids seal in moisture and nutrients for healthier, more flavorful results. In addition, the cookware pieces provide tapered rims for drip-free pouring and all pieces are dishwasher-safe. All cookware in Cuisinart's Chef's Classic line is oven-safe up to 450 degrees F and covered by a limited lifetime warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Excellent cookware in use, care, and value April 5, 2008 Checksix (NY - not the city) I have used primarily the best non-stick cookware available and recently wanted to switch to a good set with no non-stick. I didn't know where to start or what I should look for in cookware. After some research, I decided to get this set because it goes from stove top to oven and looks great with a professional flair. After reading the reviews about staining and clean up, I was hesitant. However, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Read the cleaning directions! Use warm vinegar to remove discolorations which are caused by the water - NOT THE COOKWARE. I hand wash my cookware and wipe dry immediately. This prevents almost all spoting. If a discoloration occurs, I use a little warm vinegar which removes everything. The drip-free pouring is excellent engineering feature. The cookware heats up evenly and quickly. I never use the highest heat setting for even boiling water. I recommend this set to anyone. Be sure to read the manufacturer's information contained with the set.
Really Great Pan Set. March 31, 2008 Beetee (MI) My wife and I puchased this set a month ago, she has been very happy with this set. Looks great cleans up nice, and we don't have to worry about cooking on teflon everyday. The other people who said to use barkeepers friend were right, it is a good non abrasive product that cleans without scratching. Handles stay cool, and the pans have a nice weight to them. Good quality set without breaking the bank.
Fantastic cookware March 26, 2008 P. Taylor (Central PA) I had purchased a similar set at a local store, decided to check amazon when I got home, this set is larger and came with a free extra pot, for about $75.00 cheaper. Of course I returned the one to the store and purchased this from Amazon. It is everything I was expecting, I love cooking with these pans. Never had trouble with clean up, if I brown something in a pan, I just add some soapy water and after a short time of soaking, it wipes clean with a paper towel. My last set cost way more than this, and was non-stick, they did not hold up well at all and I decided to never buy non-stick again. I have absolutely no problem with anything sticking in these pans.
Love these pans February 27, 2008 M. Bradley (Monroe, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After months and months of reading reviews and some careful consideration I decided to order this set. I am very glad I did. Stainless Steel is very easy to cook with and clean if you follow the recommended use and care despite some of the comments out there. The first washing produced a "rainbow effect" on the pans but I used a little bit of bar keepers friend on it and I have not seen it since. I had been wanting (and needing) to replace my non-stick cookware for about a year but was afraid of cooking with stainless steel but I love it. I kept watching this set and Amazon put it on sale and I got it for about $70 less than anywhere else and received it within the week.

I bought a 17-piece set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic stainless cookware, plus a 1-qt. saucier and the double boiler. I am very pleased with all of them, and these 20 pieces are all I should ever need!
