Product Description When it comes to cooking, you'll never be caught empty-handed with this complete set of classic nonstick cookware. 17-pieces with brilliant mirror-polished exteriors feature Quantanium? nonstick surfaces, reinforced with titanium to ensure lasting food release and easy, hassle-free clean-up. Aluminum encapsulated bases heat quickly and evenly, cooking food to perfection. Cool Grip(tm) riveted handles and drip-free rims guarantee safe and easy handling. Limited lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Review From Cuisinart's Chef's Classic series comes this handsome, durable cookware with triple-layer construction. The exterior is hard-anodized aluminum, which is even stronger than stainless steel, with an encapsulated pure aluminum core for quick, even heating. The interiors of the pots and pans feature Cuisinart's Quantanium nonstick finish, a high-quality, long-lasting finish internally reinforced with titanium. Little oil or butter is needed when cooking on this ultra-smooth surface, and low to medium heat is recommended, along with non-metal utensils. All the lids are break-resistant glass, and handles are pure stainless steel, riveted for strength. Every piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F. Cuisinart puts together all the most commonly used pots and pans in this comprehensive 17-piece set. Three covered saucepans hold 1-1/2, 2, and 3 quarts, perfect for those everyday tasks such as warming soup, cooking rice, or steaming vegetables. The 8- and 10-inch skillets slide out perfect French toast and pancakes, not to mention eggs over easy with bacon. Use the covered 12-inch skillet or 4-quart covered sauté pan, both with helper handles, for stir-fried vegetables, sautéed seafood, or braised beef. The covered 9-quart stockpot is perfect for big batches of chili and hearty soups. Two bonus items are the all-purpose covered steamer and deeper pasta insert that fit the stockpot and do away with having to use a colander for draining. Cleanup is easy, just a quick wash by hand takes care of any food residue. Nonstick, hard-anodized cookware is best kept out of the dishwasher. Cuisinart covers this gift-worthy cookware set with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 17-piece cookware set. Great Value!!! May 3, 2008 Jason Storck (Wooster, OH) This set is amazingly complete for the price. The pans heat very fast and wash clean, even if left in the sink for a day (not like anyone does that or anything . . .) The only complaint is that the pasta colander is a bit flimsy, but at this price, it could be tin foil, as it is essentially a freebee. I highly recommend this set.
I am really disappointed April 13, 2008 D. Jaquier (California) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I did a lot of research before buying a new set of cookware. I read tons of reviews and this one seemed to be the best. Not only were there good reviews but there seemed to be great features and shapes/sizes of pots & pans too. I even bought some additional separate pieces at a much higher price. Too bad for me. My biggest issue is that the handles are very hard to hold. They are too slender and have a concave shape so that one cannot grip them easily and comfortably. This is especially problematic with the skillets or larger saucepans (bought separately). Secondly, they get VERY hot, very fast and things burn in seconds. They seem rather lightweight. I would prefer a heavier bottom. I think this add to the heating/burning issue. They seems to scratch easily even though I have been very careful with them. The non-stick feature is good and they are easy to clean. Lastly, the covered Saute Pan is too small. For me it is a waste. The saucepans are very shallow to the point of being almost unuseable for me. Think twice before buying this cookware.
Beautifully made - great value! March 31, 2008 RV (Austin, TX) Great balance and quality craftsmanship. The number of items in this set is also astounding. I don't know why it took me so long to toss my very old and sad looking Calphalon and upgrade to something so nice. I'm very happy with this purchase!
Everyone should own this set March 1, 2008 Heather Dowd Perfect heat distribution. A lid for EVERYTHING. Some sets have lids that one will fit several pots and pans together, so they only give you one. This one has a lid for all ten items. A very sturdy set.
The August 2005 version of this set STILL GOING STRONG! March 1, 2008 Robert Kolinski (Gainesville, Florida United States) Purchased the version of this set offered in 8/05 and, after 2 years, everything is in very, very good working order - scratch resistant, stain resistant, absolutely still 100% non-stick. I would definitely invest in a Cuisinart set esp. at Amazon prices (keep tabs, they occasionally are very low for the whole set). Hope this helps. In conclusion, 2.5yrs of abuse in my kitchen and Cuisinart still rocks.
