I, too, was contemplating buying All Clad. I bought a piece of All Clad and a piece of Viking. The All Clad is much more flimsy and looks like a toy set compared to the Viking. The All Clad stained from steaming veggies the one time I used the pan. I returned it the next day. I love the Viking. It cooks evenly and cleans-up like brand new. My husband and I gave a set to ourselves for Christmas. We have already added the roasting pan, which is being discontinued. It was on sale and it is absolutely amazing. It is a substantial weight and a perfect size for anything you have to roast. I cannot say enough about this set..If I had to say a drawback, it would be that this cookware cannot sit in a cabinet hidden-you really must hang these

Serious cooks need this cookware. When I was ready to make the investment of higher end cookware, I attended a Viking Cooking School so I could use them before I purchased them. The school sells the cookware in their store. While I was deliberating between Viking and All Clad (which was also for sale there)the chef helped me compare them together and I made the decision instantly to purchase the Viking brand. It was like day and night. I purchased a set and I absolutely LOVE the cookware. Well worth the investment!
