3 out of 5 stars Good Looking   August 13, 2008

To be honest, I haven't start using this product. But it looks very nice and feels like a solid utensil for my kitchen. I will come to know about the performance only after I cook with it and that is why I am giving only 3 stars.

4 out of 5 stars Basic Essentials   August 5, 2008

I received this set today; the package was so heavy that the UPS guy insisted on bringing it to the counter top for me. The brand is not Denmark, its Basic Essentials. I didn't care either way. Everything arrived in great condition. The ceramic stuff are sturdy, they should hold up well. The cooking utensils are wider then the norm. The only con I can think of is that the pot handles are metal so they conduct heat; which makes you more likely to burn yourself. You just have to remember to use a pot holder every time you handle them.

3 out of 5 stars amazon has it listed wrong. Very good set.   July 30, 2008

Just a heads up, amazon has the wrong info up. They'll ship you Basic essentials 60piece, prep, cook and serve set...
I emailed customer service and the response i got was an apology for the wrong listing. Was told "if the item is of no value to me" i can return for a refund. Honestly, this thing is so heavy the UPS guy had to bring it to my house cuz i'm sure my upper limbs weigh less than 25lbs so i don't see how i can carry this thing to my car which is parked in the parking lot across the street.
On the other hand, i did examine the items and it's hard anodized, the outsided looks like calphalon and the inside is non stick. It's not as thick as calphalon hard anodized cookware. Other than looking think, i think this cookware will last longer than the cheap ones i got. Even my calphalon cookware doesn't last long. Also, the ceramic dishes look like they have some quality to it, Lots of spoons, wooden, silver, you name it. for the 79 bucks i paid for it, i think they're worth it.
I cook a lot but i'm in the process of moving so once i move and settle in, i'll update this review to reflect how the pans hold up. The only hard anodized pans i've used are calphalon so i'll compare it to that. i have a feeling these might hold up but we'll see.

And again, know that amazon has the listing wrong. The item above is basic essentials. However, basic essentials, denmark and other brandnames are all made by the same company - tabletops unlimited. So i gues denmark or not, it's from the same company.

Update: i've been using these since i moved and they are actually very good. Cleaning is a BREEZE!!! i use the soft foam to clean them. Also, it's hard anodized so while it takes a little longer to heat up, it retains heat. I love the two fying pans. I actually like the 8-inch better than my 12-inch calphalon international nonstick griddle. Also, my ground beef doesn' stick in the bigger one like it did for my calphalon. The wooden spoons are furnished and of really good quality and i don't see them ripping apart anytime soon. i like the measuring cups as well. What i like the MOST is the 1qt and 2qt pans. I can't stress how many times i've had pasta spill into the sink because i was trying to drain it through the little holes on my other pans. Draining pasta with these is just awesome!
I don't use the siler spoons cuz i'm afraid my roommate will use them in the nonstick pans but everything else is good.i've actually done a good job knocking the pans together or with other stuff in my kitchen and i don't have any dents in them.

Overall, i'll give these anywhere from 4 to 4.5stars. after using it, i now know why the msrp is 300 bucks. These are nothing like the cheap sets you buy from target or walmart that lasts for only 2months.
