Amazon.com Review Designed to Wolfgang Puck's exacting standards, this 9th anniversary Signature cookware set literally bears the chef's seal of approval: his autograph is imprinted on every item. The impressive 32-piece stainless-steel collection equips the kitchen for both sophisticated meal preparation and its festive enjoyment. Showcased are 1- and 2-quart covered saucepans, a 4-quart covered soup pot, a 10-inch covered omelet pan, an 8-quart covered stockpot, and an 11-inch covered sauté pan. Finished with a mirror polish and equipped with aluminum-encapsulated bases, the metal excels in even, energy-efficient heating; corrosion-, stain-, and odor-resistance; and easy, quick cleanup--a perfect combination for everyday use. Additional features include double-riveted hollow handles for strength and durability, tempered glass lids for easy monitoring, and pour spouts and colander lids on the saucepans. The cookware is oven-safe to 400 degrees F, and the lids are safe to 350 degrees F. Chef Puck also supplies seven essential cook's tools: a solid turner, slotted turner, solid spoon, slotted spoon, carving fork, tongs, and soup ladle. Pan-seared sea bass? Pumpkin ravioli? A favorite meal calls for a delightful wine pairing, and this collection includes a 5-piece wine opener set with a stylish opener, wood stand, foil cutter, collar, and pourer, as well as a dual-wall wine chiller, 3 wine stoppers, and a stopper stand. A cozy final touch, the 2-1/2-quart whistle-top teakettle gives diners an excuse to relax a while longer around the table with a steaming cup of scented jasmine or palate-cleansing mint tea. Its glass cover and wood accents also make a charming display on the range. The entire set comes with a lifetime limited warranty. --Kara Karll What's in the Box 1- and 2-quart covered saucepans; 4-quart covered soup pot; 10-inch covered omelet pan; 8-quart covered stockpot; 11-inch covered sauté pan. WOLFGANG PUCK COOKWARE February 26, 2008 J. OBanion I haven't had time to use the cookware enough to rate it, but the transaction with Amazon was good. I did accidentally order 2 sets instead of one and had to pay the return postage on the extra set. All else went well and had quick delivery. Oh yes, I did have a problem with the PUCK cork screw. The wood bottom was loose as the glue did not hold. The first bottle of wine I tried to open busted the lever on the screw pull. So I would have to rate the screw pull as VERY substandard. Forget the screw pull.
Pans Great, Lids So So February 26, 2008 A. West (upstate, SC) The pans are good and of good quality. 2 of the lids were bent so I returned them for 2 good ones. Much better. The lids on the quart pans with the strainer do not fit too snug. The saute pan is awesome. Worth the money as long as the lids aren't bent.
My cookware.... February 9, 2008 Trudy A 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My cookware is great! Initially I was disappointed because the box had made in China written all over it. So I immediately thought that I paid a high price for an awesome man's name. But I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and saw what the quality actually was! Since buying this set, I've purchased additional items. This cookware requires less heat for cooking, you can use virtually any type of utensils with it, and the clean up is incredibly easy. Needless to say, you do get what you pay for. I highly recommend it.
just ok January 9, 2008 Natalie A. Ramsey (Atlanta, GA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
SO I received my cookware set today and I have a few gripes. The handle on the soup pot appears to be bent, one of the lids has a dent in the center, and the wine opener is just glued together and has come apart. UPS must have been particularly rough or this stuff is not built to last.
