Amazon.com Review This shallow 2-1/2-quart saucepan can be used for sauces and, covered with its stainless-steel lid, for stews and casseroles. Part of Calphalon's premium Tri-Ply Copper line, this brilliant stainless steel and copper-accented saucepan cooks as beautifully as it looks. The pan's exterior is crafted of copper--the most superior metal for heat conduction--while a heavy-gauge aluminum core runs through its center. The combination of these two metals provides more exact control while cooking and excellent results. The interior is made of 18/10 stainless steel, which is nonreactive to acidic foods and offers a reflective surface that makes it easier to know when foods are completely cooked. This cookware also has Calphalon's patented stainless-steel Cool-V handles that are riveted and stay cool on the stovetop. All Tri-Ply Copper cookware is oven-safe up to 450 degrees F and is covered by a lifetime warranty.

Great conductivity, size just right July 22, 2008 Chandra (Northern Virginia) This pan is really perfect for rice, pilafs and for braising 2-3 servings of vegetables or up to 6 sausages. I use mine a alot, the conductivity is first rate, no hot spots, even sizzle across the bottom - you will want to get the Calphalon copper cleaner to use every 4+ times you use the pan to brighten it up if you're into that.
Show stopping copper with topper November 2, 2007 L. Dockeray I couldn't be more pleased with my Calphalon Copper Triply 2 1/2 quart saucepan. It not only adds pizazz to my kitchen decor with it's attractive exterior, but also couldn't be a finer piece of cookwear. From high to simmer the results are an even distribution of heat and clean-up is a cinch. Delivered as promised and so easily ordered via the internet. I love it, and the price was more than fair!!
My favorite August 1, 2007 H. Dinh (Houston,TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This quickly became my favorite tool. Right size for just about everything and very high quality stuff. One year later: Still going strong..the pan started showing marks and blemishes, but I think it shows that the pan has been well-used. Performance is as good as ever, if not better. I would buy this again in a heart beat, but don't think I need to for a long long time.
Just ok July 14, 2007 applebaum8 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had it for 2 months now, but now the lid handle gets hot. My other pots I could always pick up the lid anytime to check how things are going, this one I have to get an oven mitt to use. To me the most important thing about a pot is a cool handle, which this has, but I didn't expect for the lid handle to get hot. The outside finish does start to look ugly after a couple uses. I bought the Calphalon copper cleaner but I can tell that one tub of it will go by very quickly because you need a lot of the product to clean the whole pot. There's really a huge difference from when it's cleaned and when it's not. It is really pretty when clean though.
Best possible value for $30 January 6, 2007 Mister (Texas, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is an excellent pan, a little effort is required to keep the copper looking naturally beautiful but that is to be expected. It's heavy which is another indicator of the quality. Although vinegar and salt will clean the copper, they won't shine it so be prepared to use metal polish to have it looking it's best.
