Designed by three-star Michelin chef Marco Pierre White for the White Heat cookware collection, the 8-piece set contains both 1-1/2- and 3-1/2-quart vegetable pans, a 5-quart casserole, a 9-1/2-inch fry pan, and an 11-inch steak pan. Lids accompany all cookware except for the fry and steak pans. User-friendly attributes include the cookware's subtlely flared rims for neat pouring and the laser-etched measurement markings on the vegetable pans and casserole. Beka constructed the cookware set with nonreactive 4mm hard-anodized aluminum exteriors, deflecting dents and corrosion over years of use. For greater heat conduction, a honeycomb-pattern copper plate is fused to the base of each open-stock piece. This fusion endows the cookware with copper's unsurpassable heat efficiency without embracing the metal's less-desirable qualities, such its reactivity to certain foods and high maintenance care. Weilburger nonstick interiors further enhance the set's user-friendliness. To transport the pans, hollow cast stainless-steel handles are securely riveted to the side of each.
