Product Description KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line brings you high quality cookware constructed from brushed stainless steel and aluminum. The brushed 18/10 stainless steel exterior graduates to a gleaming shine at the top while an aluminum disc base fully encapsulated by stainless steel provides even heating across the bottom of the pan. Ultra comfortable cool grip handles are comprised of an 18/10 stainless steel shaft encased in soft silicone rubber. The handles are dual riveted to the pan for added security and strength. Amazon.com Review There's something clean and pure about cookware that's stainless steel inside and out. This stylishly finished version from KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials series features a brightly polished interior that discourages food from sticking, and a handsomely brushed exterior with a shiny band along the rim. Each pan is entirely constructed of premium 18/10 stainless steel, except for the encapsulated aluminum disk in the base (aluminum makes a superior conductor of heat), and the silicone grip encasing the handle. Even the tight-fitting lids are stainless steel. Each piece is oven-safe to 400 degrees F and is dishwasher-safe. Whether you want to fry up pancakes for breakfast, warm soup for lunch, or feed chili to a crowd, this set more than accommodates your most typical cooking needs. The 1-, 2-, and 3-quart saucepans all come with lids, as does the large 8-quart stockpot. The 8- and 10-inch French skillets are nice and deep, great for poaching eggs or stir-frying veggies. Stainless steel cooks most efficiently at medium heat, and can be used to start a dish on the stovetop and finish it in the oven. An excellent value, the set is covered by a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 10-piece cookware set. The set consists of: 1-quart covered saucepan; 2-quart covered saucepan; 3-quart covered saucepan; 8-quart covered stockpot; 8-inch skillet; 10-inch skillet. 10 pieces total.

Excellent Cookware November 29, 2008 S. Culotta (Fort Lauderdale) This is a solid set of cookware. Made very well. I like that the sides are brushed and don't show spots, fingerprints, etc. Just wish they would make more pieces to go with this set.
After 31 years I treated myself to the perfect set of pots and pans November 29, 2008 V. Schneider (Downers Grove, Il) After 31 years I began having trouble with the handles on my old set of pots and pans. I went on a search to find a high quality but a not too expensive replacement set. I searched consumer reports, Sam's Club, Costco, numerous stores and the reviews I found on this site and purchased the KitchenAid set. The look and feel was just what I wanted, well made, heavy but not too heavy. I used them to prepare my Thanksgiving meal and was very satified. They were perfect
KitchenAid Cookware November 26, 2008 Marianne (Lexington, KY) Looked great, received in a very timely fashion but after using only a couple of times the pans spot even though hand washed.
Pleasant surprise November 25, 2008 R. Woods (Kansas City, MO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted a set of All Clad pans. But I didn't want to pay for them. Consumer Reports gave this set a very high rating - higher than All Clad's, so I decided to risk it. I'm extremely pleased with the quality, durability and appearance of this set of pans. The price is unbeatable. Highly recommended.
Top-notch cooking ware, better than expected November 23, 2008 Eric Mitchell (Lexington, KY USA) First, I was looking for cookware that didn't have non-stick surfaces. I am getting concerned about the health risks and had thrown away all the old stuff with Teflon. While doing the research for the replacements, I found a review about this KitchenAid set that expressed another of my concerns...sticking food. The writer of the review fried an egg the first time he used the set. Helped by cooking spray, he had prepared a beautiful egg that didn't stick. The best way to test anything is to repeat the experiment, which I did with equally great results. I love this set. High quality and no non-stick worries.
