Amazon.com Review
Perfect for preparing coffee at home before dashing out the door, this coffeemaker brews through the lids directly into either one or both of the 14-ounce travel mugs accompanying the machine. The stainless-steel mugs have rubber, nonslip grips, fit most vehicle cup holders, and are 6-3/4 inches high, with 2-5/8-inch-diameter rubber bottoms. Lids keep coffee hot in the mugs and are deeply indented and sloped toward the drink hole to contain spills. Both mugs and their lids are dishwasher-safe. The coffeemaker uses disposable paper filters (two included), automatically shuts off after the brewing process, and can also be used to heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup. Made of gleaming black plastic, the coffeemaker measures 13 inches high, 5-1/4 inches wide, and 8-1/2 inches deep, and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

4 out of 5 stars Nice Machine, Great deal   July 4, 2008
John Campbell (Boston, MA)
I have been using this for about a month now and it is a great, convenient little machine. Make 1 or 2 cups at a time. Takes 2-3 minutes to make a cup. I have sworn off my $3/day drive through coffee! Also great in addition to a large coffee maker, esp. if you have family or guests who like their coffee differently....less strong, decaf, etc. Works with most "to go" cups in addition to the ones provided, as along as they fit under the drip spout you are good to go. I'm considering a "gold" filter so I don't have to keep using paper ones, $12 at Target, we'll see!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful coffee in an elegantly designed coffeemaker   July 27, 2007
Sally H. Wambold (Glen Allen, VA United States)
The Cuisinart TTG-500FR Coffeemaker makes good coffee in a simple, elegant machine. It actually makes almost as much coffee as a four-cup coffeemaker. And the price was very reasonable.

1 out of 5 stars Remanufactured ... not!   July 21, 2007

I bought this for my husband's office. I opened and threw away the packaging before trying it out. The unit did not work because on-off switch was broken. I didn't bother to return it because I did like the cups and probably would have paid that price for them anyway.

5 out of 5 stars Cuisinart Coffeemaker review   July 17, 2007
Laura A. Peres (OK)
This coffeemaker really solved alot of my problems. The coffee is ready to go, just add 2 cups of water and your coffee. It is dispensed into the travel mug which fits my cup holder in my car. It requires #2 filters and they probably should be purchased at the same time if possible.

2 out of 5 stars Don't recommend this product   July 14, 2007

I purchased this product new, not refurbed. When it did work, it made good coffee and was very convenient. However, after only about 4 months, it died. Worked fine until the morning it leaked hot water all over the counter along with coffee grounds. Bizarre! I cleaned it up and it's never worked again. The coffee mugs are also really wide in the base. It may not fit in your car. Overall, I'm sure there are better to-go coffeemakers out there.
