Amazon.com Programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time, this coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups. A replaceable charcoal filter improves the water. Other features include a spray head that distributes water evenly through the ground coffee; a glass carafe with a stylish stainless-steel band; a scratch-resistant nonstick warming plate; cord storage in the rear (push in the cord to conceal it); a window that shows the water level; and a pause function for a midbrew pour when the carafe is removed. For peace of mind, you can program the warming plate to shut off at a specified time (up to four hours) after brewing. Clad in gleaming black plastic that easily wipes clean, the coffeemaker measures 13-3/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 11 inches deep (including the carafe handle). --Fred Brack Editor's note: This is a reconditioned small appliance. Reconditioned generally means that the appliance has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the appliance back to like-new condition. Some appliances may contain cosmetic blemishes.

Great if you need a cheap coffee maker. . . well maybe July 21, 2008 R. S. Appleton 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to agree with the others that didn't think much of this unit. I just bought one of these for $19 and that's about what it's worth quality wise. No way anyone in their right mind would pay over a hundred dollars for this and I believe that's what the list price was before it went out of stock! I think this one is just going on the shelf as an emergency backup unit when my other brand-X fails because right now my Brand-X is a better unit then this one. Hopefully it won't smoke when I do need it, in fact I should just fire it up once to see if it does even work. The old adage "You don't get something for nothing" applies here.
Worst item I've ever bought at Amazon July 20, 2008 Michael Lydle (Cedar Park, TX United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I plugged in unit. Poured in water. 2 minutes later, coffeemaker started smoking. A nasty plastic smell too. Unplugged unit. Waited awhile. Plugged unit back in. Unit doesn't work now. This item pretty much reinforces the notion to NEVER BUY REFURBISHED ITEMS. In this case, refurbished means putting a non-working item back in nice packaging and letting someone one else mess with this. Now Amazon doesn't have a replacement.... so I have to start from scratch to find a new coffeemaker.
gratified July 5, 2008 R. dobbs (san diego, ca) Delicious coffee from one of the best known small kitchen appliance brands, Cuisinart. I have the high-end grind & brew Cuisinart & needed a basic coffee maker for another kitchen. This model is just perfect. Coffee is always flavorful, using regular store bought ground beans. I leave it unplugged until I need it, & just turn it on, to brew. If you appreciate a good cup of coffee, don't want the added bells & whistles, and are looking for the harder to find 12 cup pot, you won't go wrong on this model.
Great coffeemaker April 5, 2008 G. Iwanski (MQT MI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great coffee brewer. Got it as a gift, couldn't believe they didn't keep it for themselves. Was suffering thru an Oster, it was leaking, would turn off sometimes during brewing sometimes awful coffee. When I got this one I couldn't believe how much better it was. Everything from the smaller footprint, better coffee, no leak carafe kept the coffee hot longer. Option turning it off when I wanted. Some reason I didn't get the gold filter either but I did write cuisinart and will see what happens.
Great Coffee pot September 14, 2007 J. Leazer 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have bought several coffee pots and had a hard time finding one that makes good coffee and has a 12 cup pot. It has the cone filter and the water actually gets hot enough to actually pull some flavor out of the coffee as it's running through. It is easy to fill and use. We bought a 10 cup Braun before this that makes great coffee, but to pour out of the pot when it's full is a nightmare. This cuisinart is much better and has a decent automatic timer.
