One of the Best August 13, 2008 Michelle Rex (Redding, CA) After buying two other coffee makers with a carafe and returning them, I settled on this one. I absolutely love this machine. The carafe does pour slowly, compared to some machines, but you dont have to wrestle with the lid in the morning. Once its ready to brew, you're done. The programming was a little different too. You have to turn the knob to your desired setting (program, time, etc) and then set the time. All in all, you will be accustomed to this machine quickly and love it. The coffee stays hot for hours and hours....up to 10 hours was our last count. My husband makes the coffee at 4 am and when I get up at 7 am, its hot and ready. Very nice.
Let me have my coffee August 3, 2008 dgh (Dallas, TX USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought our coffee pot from Williams Sonoma. Any time I buy something from there, it's because I assume it will be the best of the best. This coffee pot has a few flaws -- mainly the pot. It is very difficult to pour the coffee out of the pot. It also makes it very difficult to wash. Another flaw is the condensation that collects in the top of the pot. When you lift the lid to change the coffee basket, the water from the lid runs down the back of the pot, leaving coffee stained water on the counter. Overall, the coffee is fine, but I see no difference between this coffee and the coffee that came from our Mr. Coffee. Save the bucks.

Factory Reconditioned Cuisinart DCC-2400FR Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Thermal Carafe Coffeemaker, Black I am very satisfied with this product. It brews an excellent cup of coffee. The automatic start works accurately. It does keep the coffee hot for close to 10 hours as promised. I like the clean looking design of the coffee maker. The only con I found is that it somewhat hard to pour when the carafe is about half empty.
Cuisinart DCC-2400FR replaced my dead Bunn May 31, 2008 MoniePJ (Florence, AL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this coffee maker! The only reason for the 4 and not 5 stars is the fact that the last cup is difficult to pour from the carafe. Not a big deal, and I wouldn't give it up for anything, but that's the only thing that keeps it from being perfect. I have used a bunn coffee maker for the last 15 yrs or so (3 of them actually) and was very spoiled by the fast brew, especially since I don't have a routine schedule and never really cared for programming a maker since I wasn't certain when I'd want coffee in the morning. This maker takes about 12 mins to brew 12 cups. It's very simple to operate and I figured out the programming without even looking at the instructions. I like that it beeps that notifies you it's finished, and the benefit of the stainless carafe is that if you are like me & don't have a set schedule, you can program it for an hour or so before you think you may want it in the morning and it's still hot and fresh when you get ready for it. It shuts off automatically and there is no water tank heating throughout the day & no burner to remember to shut off...and no burned/scorched coffee at the end of the day. Oh, and the coffee is fantastic. One more benefit over the Bunn is the amount of counter space. This is compact and much more attractive IMO than the clunky Bunn. I purchased this item before it had any reviews at $49. The price is now up to $99. I love the bargain I got, but also think it's worth the updated pricing. It's a great coffeemaker & I absolutely love it!
Good to the last drop! May 30, 2008 Mr Fish (Portland, Oregon USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted to let everyone know that this is one of the best coffee makers I have ever owned. As long as you preheat the coffee thermos coffee can last as long as 4 hours. Just a note that it takes a bit of time to learn how to pour the coffee out of the thermos. It is also good to shake it up before you pour. I was able to get the rebuilt coffee pot at a very good price. I can say this coffee pot was a great deal!
